Bad News On Two Levels....

First of all, the Beast went to the pulmonary doctor on Monday and was told his COPD is just a bit below severe.  He is on two different sprays as well as a pill of some kind.  There is no cure for COPD...you just learn to live with it and hope it doesn't get worse.

Tuesday (today) the Beast FINALLY took the dog into the vet's for a couple different reasons.  #1...that poor paw had never been checked out.  #2....he had managed to scratch a couple new sores open on his side.

Turns out the paw needs surgery.  There is a lump that must be removed and then Baron will need a skin graft to cover the area.  The Beast is also having her remove the fatty tumor on his side at the same time.  The vet started to give Baron the same pills she had last time, which helped the sores but left Baron unable to hold his *water* so he dribbled and pee'd everywhere but the Beast told her about the problem and she changed her mind.  She said those are the things they have to be told or else we would have to deal with the same problems.  So far, so good with the new pills.  He does seem to have stopped scratching.  I told the Beast that it really figures that we would get a dog....a very expensive one, at that....that had *sensitive* skin.  Sheesh.

So, there you have it.  Some of what I have had to mentally deal with for two days.  Besides that, I have been incredibly tired.  My feet hurt me to walk on them.  That's partly my fault since I have been doing so much sleeping that I am not taking my pills right.  I tried texting Sheepie, hoping she was at work, to find out if I could get her to pick me up some Depends to keep in the house for my next IBS attack.  It's the only sensible thing to do.  Everything else is just too messy and awful to think about.  But she never returned my text so I guess I will have to get dressed tomorrow and go do that myself.  I sure don't want to send the Beast to do it!  He just never uses his head about a lot of things and getting the proper fit, or even style, would be beyond his ken.

Well, time to hit the sack for me.  If I have to go to the store tomorrow, I need to be sure to be up bright and early.  Love you all.  Stay warm, dry and enjoy your Hump Day!  ***Hugs***
