A Normal Day?

I guess you could say I had what passes for a normal day today.  I woke up early (around 7:30am) and the Beast was going out with a few people from his church.  There was no bible meeting today because of the special meeting they had yesterday (the movie, remember?).  So Baron and I had the morning together.

When the Beast got home, he told me one of his church friends, who had seen some of his photos from a young couple's wedding that the Beast had taken, asked him if he would take some pics of her son.  He's a nice young man, about 16 years old and has a bad complexion.  The Beast spent some time *cleaning up* the complexion and you could see what a difference it made in his looks.  The pics turned out great and he made up a 16x20 as well as some 4x6 inch ones of different poses.  The young man was definitely *into* having his pics done and did a great job with the poses.  All the photos were taken outdoors and looks very *fall-ish* due to the leaves on the ground and the different colors in the trees.  He even brought changes of clothes so they don't all look alike.  His mother should love the pics when the Beast brings them over to their house tomorrow.

We ate pizza (the ones he brought home yesterday) for our late lunch and I had a salad for my dinner since I wasn't all that hungry AND I sure didn't want another IBS attack.....LOL!  I talked to Bratfink for a bit online.  She has an old friend of hers visiting and I gather they are enjoying the visit.  All the cats even came and greeted her friend (and they are NOT always friendly to visitors).  But I was glad she was finally getting to see her friend (they haven't seen each other for 39 years!).  They used to work together in California, I think it was.  They remained friends and stayed in touch either by phone or via the Internet.

They watched a movie together.  Can you believe that someone had not seen *Avatar*?  What an amazing film that was/is.  I love it and watch it often.  The special effects are just incredible.  I even watched the *how the film was made* section of it on DVD.  It took a lot of effort on the part of the actors even.  I really wondered how they could achieve some of the special effects.  It's just incredible what they can do these days.

I will let Bratfink give you all the details on the visit in her blog, when she gets to it.  I can only relay what she told me but it IS her friend and her visit.  Neither one of us got our naps for various reasons.  With me, it was the Beast's constant coming into my computer room (where I was trying to nap in my recliner) to show me the pictures he had printed up and get my opinion on them.  I know it's important for him to get my feedback (and I always critique them if I think he hasn't done a good job).  He sometimes gets the complexion too pale, for example.  He takes my opinions to heart because he wants the people to really like the work he has done.  He knows I am usually right on some of the things I tell him.

I spent a couple hours playing my Jewel Quest game.  Funny but it was the Beast that gave me that game about 12 years ago for my birthday, I think it was.  He also gave me the Iwin mahjong game on CD and I play that one a lot too.  Like the Jewel Quest game, it has a LOT of variety to it.  I only started playing it because I gave up trying to take a nap and I can always pause the game (each level is timed).

I really need to look for some other games I can buy and play without being on a special game site like Pogo or Vegas World or any of the hundreds of other game sites.  I've been playing on those sites for several years (Pogo the longest).   But I enjoy VW primarily because of the charm parties and all the online friends I have made there.  It's where I met my friend, Carol, from San Francisco.  *Sigh*  Wish we weren't living on different sides of the US of A.  It would be nice to be able to visit in person.  I worry about her when I don't get a chance to talk online.  She hasn't been feeling well (we share that problem too...LOL) and has to rest a lot.  It's tough to be confined to a wheelchair most of the time.  I remember how it was that year the Beast was in one after his strokes.  I was his caregiver and it was NOT fun for either of us.  But Carol has multiple problems to contend with and has no choice.

I am wearing the pajamas she sent me as a gift.  They are sooooooo warm and comfortable.  We are going to be hit with some nasty weather later in the week and the cold will NOT be welcome here, trust me.  The days won't be so bad but the nights will be cold as hell.  Down into the 20's most of the time.  I will be surprised if we don't get snow.  It won't stay on the ground long due to the days being sunny and not under freezing temps.  But it won't be fun if we have to go out at night for any reason.

Love you all.  Please stay warm.  Lots of areas got snow today (it covered 8 states!) so be very careful driving if you are in one of those places.  ***Hugs***
