A Saturday Without Chewlee......

The Princess and Johnnycakes both have the weekend off so we won't be getting Chewlee for two days in a row!  It feels weird.  But we have managed even so.  We both got up early but the Beast had much more to do than I did.  I made the bed up, helped empty (and fill) the dishwasher, straightened up my computer room and folded a few clothes.  That was my day since the Beast vacuumed the floor of the living room (mostly because of his mess around his recliner).  He went to the store to pick up a couple gallons of sweet tea and lemonade both for a farwell party tomorrow.  This one young couple is off to Columbia after tomorrow to do some missionary work.  I hope God blesses them because that's dangerous country for anyone, let alone missionaries.

He keeps forgetting a couple things I asked him to get.....some patches so I can fix the flannel sheet that Baron chewed a couple holes in a few years back.  As a pup, he chewed damn near everything he could get his teeth on.  He also chewed a hole in one of my patchwork quilts that I really love so that needs fixing, too.  I also asked him for some refills for our Air Wick auto sprayers that we have in my computer room and both bedrooms.  I've really learned to like them now that we've had them for a while.  I especially love the lavender-chamomile spray.  And there's this one peach one that I love in the guest room.  The Beast likes it for our bedroom, too.  But in my computer room (where I take my naps) give me the lavender-chamomile one every time.  It's very calming and relaxing for me.

I made the Beast an Italian beef sandwich for his dinner (and mine, too!) but I think I am going to have a salad in a little bit.  I've been salad hungry for a couple days and our Ranch dressing is calling my name.  Either that or the Blu-cheese one.  They are both good.  The Beast will probably decide to have one when I make up mine.  I know him too well.  LOL!  (He did!)

He changed Baron's diet on him due to Baron's constant farting.  And it was enough to drive you out of a room!  It was almost constant so we knew it was something in his diet.  We cut out all his canned and dried food and gave him just chicken, veggies and rice for a while.  Until he stopped farting, anyway.  Then we slowly are introducing a brand of canned dog food for a week to see which dog food has been causing it.  We only use four different (available only at pet stores) canned dog foods so it will only take us a month to find out which one it is.  As soon as he starts it again, that dog food is OFF our list and he will go on the chicken, veggie and rice diet for a week once more to clear out his system.  Then we shall see what happens.

The dog really pissed me off more than once.  He actually would walk into my computer room, fart and then leave.  It left me gagging and running for the front door.  I would hold my breath and turn my fan on high to try to clear the room out and I would grab one of the Febreze Air Effects sprays and spray my room before I would enter it again.  He (Baron) would fart at night in our bedroom and it would wake you up and make you leave the room.  A couple times, I thought I would lose my dinner and the odor just hung in the air forever.  It even drove Baron out of the room!  ROFLMAO.  Yeah, it's funny now but not when it's happening.

Love you all.  Have a nice Sunday.  Get together with family and/or friends while you can.  Life is short....too short at times.  **Wink**
