The Beast doesn't use common sense at times. But, of course, for those of you that know him, this isn't a huge surprise. For example.....You do NOT open the top of the bins they are in to about 10 inches. That is plenty of room for them to fly up and out of. And so they did. Who actually heard them and went out to check? Me. Who caught them and put them back into their bins? Again, me.
What is weird is that the chicks actually have a very loud, panicky sounding chirping that they do when they are out of their bin. The Beast seems to not be able to either hear it or distinguish it from their normal chirping. I think he can't hear it. His hearing is getting worse and worse. Mine isn't all that great, either, but it's obviously better than HIS.
We got snow here today. Just a couple inches but I am sure it means that Chewlee won't have school tomorrow. There's bound to be black ice on the roads tomorrow and it will be dangerous to be out in it. Since we so rarely get show here, most of the people don't really know how to drive in it. That is scary dangerous.
We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow so there's no telling what the next few days will be like. Cee was shocked when she went to throw her garbage out in the dumpster today and saw the snow coming down. It's probably been 40 years since she last saw snow. LOL! When she called me to tell me, it hadn't started snowing here yet but it did shortly after we hung up. Surprise, surprise, Baron had no problem with going out into the snow to pee (not like when it rains) but he was darn near as wet afterward. Go figure! I just know that on Sunday, come hell or high water, the chicks ALL go out in the barn. Saturday night is the worst of the low temps and then it's much warmer for over a week after that. Plenty of time for them to adjust. They are growing like weeds and pooping almost as much as they eat. I WANT MY HOUSE BACK!!!!!
Okay, time for me to shower and get some clean jammies on. I also need to set my hair again (sigh!) until I can get it trimmed. I'm just not sure if I want to. I was thinking about letting it grow. But we shall see.
Be good. Tell at least one person that you love that you do today. Tomorrow is not promised. Today is all we are sure of...and even that can change in a split second. ***Hugs***
