Went Over To Cee's Today.....

I went over to Cee's this afternoon and we sat and talked for almost 4 hours!  Seems like we never run out of things to talk about or laugh over.  I wore my heavy blue sweater so I wouldn't have to wear a jacket and ended up feeling over-warm and almost sick from it since the weather was a bit warmer than I thought.  Cee gave me one of her tops to wear (Thanks so much, Sis. I will wash it and bring it back when we go to the Princess' house).

Of course, when I left, I wore her top home and...surprise!  surprise!  It was cooler and rainy when I left.  I should have put on the sweater again but...duh!  I made it home safe and sound, regardless.

I brought Cee some of the chicken and rice I made and she planned on eating it for dinner.  I haven't heard from her yet but I hope she enjoyed it as much as I did.  The Beast ran out after I got home because we were out of the dog food (wet stuff) that Baron likes so much.  He buys it at a local feed store that has food for everything from birds, squirrels to cows and horses.  I actually like to browse around when I go with him because it's really so interesting to see all the different supplies they have.  Even cowbells, saddles and bridles.  Just plain interesting to a city folk...LOL!

I had put my movie aside to bring to Cee (the one my bff sent me...Jurassic World) and forgot it when I left.  No matter, I will bring it over for her to watch when I see her on Wednesday or Thursday.  Everything depends on when Gunner is feeling better because we are anxious to see the Princess and Johnnycake's new house.  With Gunner needing to cuddle with his mother while he's not feeling good, it would be hard on her to have us over.  Poor baby is cutting his lower molars now (the top one's broke through and the lower ones are tougher to break through) and his ear infection, it's a tough time for her.

Chewlee started her piano lessons today and I'm anxious to hear how things went.  I know she wants to learn and it will be interesting how well she does and if she practices every day.  I would love to buy her one of those electronic keyboards but they are a bit pricey for us right now.  Besides, I live with Scrooge, remember.  As it is, I am going to have to buy things starting right now for the kids at least.  I think I have the grownups covered...perhaps!

I need to pick up the reindeer with a broken antler and repair that for the Princess.  I need it to make sure the one I have here that needs painting matches the colors.  The one I have is going to be Rudolph (red nose and all!).  It's the one thing missing.  I have to get up in the attic and try to find the Santa cookie jar, sugar and creamer.  I don't remember giving those away but....  I think I need to find out if I gave that to Tara.

Did I mention that Rhett Butler, her dad, came to Michael's birthday party last week?  It was a surprise to me.  I had no idea he had driven up here from Florida to help celebrate Michael's 40th birthday.  A good time was had by all..I gave him a nice fleece blanket to help keep him warm when his wife, Lucia, isn't there.  She goes home to Guatemala from time to time and I told him that now that he was *old*, he would need it when he watches TV or a DVD.  LOL!

Lucia is adorable and so beautiful, too.  She made the cake, which was delicious.  Her family bakes and decorates cakes for their living and she can really decorate her cakes beautifully.  I'm very impressed with her for that, too.  We all contributed food for the party and it was delicious.  A good time was had by all.

Well, I am staying up tonight to download an update for the Beast's GPS.  One of those balloons keeps popping up on my computer telling me that it's available.  Since the Beast is planning on driving up to Chicago to see his brother and sister (and help his brother build a new computer), it's important that his Garmin is updated before mine.  We are limited in the amount of computer GB's that we can use from our satellite supplier.  His download is 4.2GB's (out of 15 we are allowed from 8am to 2am.  Then we have another 15GB's available to us from 2am until 8am.  It will be 2am in 10 minutes and I will download his then.  We get new GB's on the 15th of the month and I will do after that.  Another night I will be up until after 2am!  But I take a nap for a few hours after dinner so I am not so tired that I can't stay up.

Well, time to get this posted and into my pj's so I can hit the sack again once that is done.  Love you all.  Remember....hug the ones you care for now while they are here.  You can't hug a memory.  Send flowers to parents and grandparents while they are with you.  It's better while they are alive than after they are dead.  Sad but true!  ***Hugs***
