Back To Walking Normal Now....

Hurrah!  Today I woke up and walked out to get my first cup of coffee and I suddenly realized that I was walking normally.  It was a bit of a shock.  Of course, I still have the pain in my feet but it's the pain from neuropathy.  I felt great!  I still do but I am tired so I will be going to bed as soon as I finish this.

It stormed here all day long.  Poor Baron was just miserable because he really had to potty but he hates the rain.  However, he finally conveyed to the Beast that he wanted him to go out with him (which he did) and Baron both emptied his bladder and pooped then came into the house, into my computer room and wanted to be told what a good dog he was....

I wiped him down as I told him he was so very good and brave to go out in that rain.  Luckily, it was during a time that the rain had lightened up so the Beast didn't get too wet.  Neither did Baron but I don't like him laying down on the loveseat (although it's covered) when he's wet.  I have a tough time with him after he's been bathed because that's what he heads for since it is covered.  Baron will lay on it and roll around until the blanket is wrapped around him.  It's really funny but not a good thing to let him do and not chastise him for it.  I only make him get down but I do it in a stern voice and he lowers his head.  He knows I don't want him up there.

I stayed in my jammies all day once I saw the sky and the rain.  It only got worse as the day wore on and we had a few boomers.  We also lost our TV for a bit but not as long as we have during most storms.  I had planned on making the oyster dressing today but we didn't have enough eggs for it.  I didn't want to send the Beast out in the rain because he was still hurting.  He won't admit it but it was from the walking at the zoo.  Neither one of us was truly up for it.  But he laughed when I said we both need electric wheelchairs when we want to see a zoo or an amusement park....any place that requires a LOT of walking.

Oh, I need to show you just a few of the pictures that I took.  I only have four  that are ready to show you  but that should satisfy you for now (I hope)

I think you can tell what the *cats* are but that bottom one is an African porcupine.  I couldn't get close enough to get a great pic of it but it was so unusual looking with the long white hair it has on it's head, I figured I would share it.

 And here is Chewlee, roaring...LOL.

Love you all.  Have a great Hump Day!  ***Hugs***
