I really should have known better than to subject myself to the kind of walking that you must do when you go to a zoo. I am still suffering with muscles that are punishing me for the effort. It was more walking than I do in a whole week's time but I really thought I could manage....better than I did. I can be a real idiot at times.
BUT...I did make a run over to Cee's house for about two hours. We really just sit around and chat about this and that. I really needed to get out for a bit and do something besides what I normally do at home. Today was such a crappy day that I knew the Beast would be confined to the house (he was) and it turned out that he was feeling the effects of the zoo trip, too! LOL! All he wanted to do was sit in the tub and soak HIS sore muscles. He needed to run out to pick up some of the canned dog food that Baron likes but decided it could be done *manana*. I just laughed...as I shuffled to my computer room with sore leg muscles myself.
I took a nap after we ate dinner (it's becoming a regular habit lately) and slept for darn near 6 hours. I was more tired than I realized but I DID have an awful night last night. I was up and down every two hours with having to use the bathroom. Even though I went right back to bed, I woke up tired because I don't think I slept all that well. At least my hip stopped hurting me. The pain changed places and went to my ankles. Those still hurt if I flex them but I refuse to take a pain pill. I already had to take an aspirin for the headache I woke up with. THAT came from my room being too warm I think. It was cold in my computer room when I got home from Cee's so I turned it up more than I normally do. I forgot to turn it down after the room warmed up...duh! I have it turned off now but it takes a bit for the room to cool down. It's still 60 degrees outside and that's a lot warmer than it normally has been at night. It isn't going to be colder until Wednesday night.
It was really humid out today due to the off-and-on rain we had. We never saw the sun due to the thick clouds over us all day. I hope tomorrow is better. I wanted to make the oyster dressing today but just couldn't get my *go* to work...LOL. Like my dad used to say...my get-up-and-go got up and went! I'll do it tomorrow though since the bread is just perfect for making it now. It's damn near totally stale and is getting hard enough not to have to put in the oven. I could have bought some of the prepared stuffing mix that's already crunchy but the store was bought out and hadn't replaced it yet. Oh well.
I told Cee that I would put some aside for her (and I'll let the Princess know, too). They both like it and I make more than the Beast and I will eat. It makes a nice side dish for pretty much anything. We just made some cube steak and gravy for dinner tonight and I steamed up some broccoli for us. We ate it over bread and it really tasted good to me. Even the Beast said it really hit the spot since we hadn't had any for a while. It turned out really tasty and tender.
Well, another boring day here at the farm. We just didn't do much of anything around the house. Not that it needed much attention with just the two of us here. We do a little every day so that there's no need for a whole day spent on cleaning up or washing anything. The worst spot in the house right now is my desktop. That will take me about a half hour to clean up and I'll probably do it tomorrow when I refill my pills. I just need to put stuff back where it belongs. I have my nail polish, some glue, some note pads of various sizes, my polish remover pads, and stuff like that on here. It only looks messy because they are all pushed to one side or the other to keep the area I need to use when I type open.
Love you all. Be careful driving. Stay warm (and dry!). If you have snow on the ground, be VERY careful driving. Most of all, keep a smile on your face. It helps YOUR attitude and may spread smiles around you. ***Hugs***
