I am finally feeling more and more like myself. I did sleep late again but it was a nice, restful sleep for a change with almost no potty breaks to disrupt it. I had planned on going over to Cee' today but talked to her and we changed it to tomorrow.
I called my son to wish him a Happy Birthday (he doesn't read my blog...too busy between work and his game he's been playing for a couple years now). He spent the day just resting and playing his game but said he did get a lot of phone calls from family and friends. I thought that was really nice of everyone to remember. I told him to check his Facebook page to see all the birthday wishes on there from people who probably didn't have his phone number. I think he will be surprised because I saw a few from some of his old friends. One in particular, a guy who hung out at our house when they were growing up, will probably surprise him.
I got some more coffee from my bff so I called her for a change. She said in an email that she had been trying to call me but kept getting this message that told her she had reached a paging company! Since I got it one day when I was trying to reach her, I told her I think it's some kind of screw up in the satellite that it's using but who really knows? Anyway, it was nice to talk to her and we talked for over an hour. I'm glad to hear that her son was given the new medicine for HepC and is now free of that malady. It was horribly expensive but she and her hubby helped out with that. Then the son sent the information to the company that manufactured the medication that proved he couldn't really afford it and...the company reimbursed the money! I thought that was amazing.
It proves not all manufacturers are just out for the money with drugs that are an incredible improvement on anything else on the market. Although they DO hope to get back the money invested in R & D, they aren't out just for the money. Some of you will know just WHO I mean by this.
I made dinner again but this was an easy one...boneless chicken wings (I'm trying to get rid of them since the Beast really bought them for Chewlee and we don't see her as often as we did once) and also a pizza he bought the other day. We had never tried this brand before and may never again. I didn't really like the sauce but it filled the hole. I also made some cauliflower just because I had a craving for it and it was delicious just with butter on it. Yum! It may not be a balanced meal but, oh well! Cleanup was easy, thankfully.
Baron was a bad dog again today and the Beast had to go get him from the weiner dog's yard. The Beast is going to put him through some obedience training on the leash again to remind him just who the *pack leader* is. I told him to take the clicker with him to help out. When Chewlee or I use it, he minds well but we haven't used it lately so..... I really think it's because the Beast isn't exercising him every day like he has been all summer. Baron actually needs it in order to empty his bowels. But I can't blame the Beast for that since he uses the scooter and it's been awfully cold to run Baron around on it. It's not like it's a car...LOL.
