Today the Beast forgot about taking out the garbage bin last night and, wouldn't you know? they came early for once. It figures. But, since our bin is almost full, Dennis said we could use his second bin since he pays for it anyway. He and Diane have not been using both but that changes during the summer so he plans on keeping it.
It was another big wash day today. This time it was the linens on our bed as well as the Beast's clothes...underwear and Church clothes. He only does his church clothes about every 2-3 weeks, depending on how often he goes. At least he has learned the efficacy of hanging up the clothes as soon as the dryer stops. He's paid good money for the clothes so they don't need ironing if they don't sit in the dryer. He takes care of those and I take care of the rest. We make the bed together, however. It's so much easier with one of us on each side.
The Beast decided he wanted to make some of his bean soup today and, I have to admit, today was one of his better efforts. The onions he used were very strong and their smell still permeates the house but I think they made a big difference in his soup. Although I was hungry by the time it was ready, it tasted really good to me. I often eat it just because it's edible, not because I'm crazy about it. Of course, the gas it produces is part of the reason...LOL. Today was different, though. It tastes really good and, as a result, we both ate multiple bowls of it.
The cold weather hit us tonight. Not that it was all that warm during the day, but it will be colder tomorrow morning than it has been all week. It's already down to 40 and will hit the mid-to-lower 30's in the early morning hours. The high humidity makes it even colder feeling than it would normally feel and my feet are cold even with socks and my soft slippers on. I need some of those heavy socks that the Alaskans wear...LOL. Just kidding. I would never get any of my shoes or my slippers on with those and would wear them out in no time at all. I turned on the heat in my computer room and the Beast has the heating blanket on the bed so I will be fine. He turned it on an hour before he hit the bed so he's nice and warm in there now.
I put my small heater in my bathroom because I want to take a shower before I get ready for bed and it was chilly in there. It's on the north side of the house and the wind keeps it chilly when we don't have the main heat on in the house. I should have done it earlier but I was just too busy and then had to take my nap, of course. But it warms up quick so it will be perfect when I get in there. I have my big towel, too. *Grin*
