Eh! Some Days Are Just Blah!

Today was as expected.  The early morning was actually bright and sunny but then the clouds rolled in.  After that, it started raining and that was pretty much most of the day.  When night fell, the thunderstorm rolled in and presented a few big boomers.  It did make us lose both the internet and our TV for a little while but at least we didn't have a blackout.  Since we live out in the country, without any lights, the dark is intense.  I keep a candle (I buy those $1. ones at Dollar General) lit all the time.  I just wish they had more fragrance.

I expected the Beast to come home from the dermatologist like he did last time and be complaining and in pain from the treatment.  He threw me a curveball, as he must have the doctor.  He said he didn't want the light treatment because the worst of the skin cancers on his arm have not gotten better.  He prefers the treatment where they are burned off with nitrogen.  They didn't have anyone in the office that was able to do that so he is rescheduled for the 15th of the month when the technician will be available.

So, we ended up making our dinner together.  Just BLT's but they tasted good to us.  I thought about making some mac and cheese or something but the Beast said we could just have a second sandwich....LOL.  At least we had all the essentials...meat, bread and vegetables.  The bacon, which the Beast cooked in the oven, was perfect.  He tried it a few months back and now it's the only way we like it made.  I cut up the tomatoes, got the lettuce torn and put out the mayonnaise.  I was also in charge of toasting the bread.  Of course, he took all the credit for *making* the BLT even though I did most of the work....LOL!  I DID make him make his own sandwiches.

After that, I played my Jewel Quest game.  It's actually the second one (I also own the third) but it occurred to me that the Beast only spent $10 on it but it's brought me a lot of joy over all the years I have had it.  I play it over and over again but it's never the same twice.  The story line is, of course, the same, but I do enjoy the matching of the jewels and trying to beat the time.  You get 5 chances to complete each section (and there are MANY of those) or you lose all your bonus moves and have to start all over again.

I've gotten quite good at it but not perfect.  I have to collect as many bonus moves as possible early in the game because I find it necessary to use them as the game progresses.  But this is boring for you, I know.  I'm just jazzed over the fact that something so inexpensive has provided me with so much entertainment  over the years.

Love you all.  Have a fantastic Hump Day.  ***Hugs***
