They had the Christmas Store at Chewlee's school today. They call it Santa's Shop or some such thing. She was so excited and wanted to get just four people presents....her mommy and daddy, the Beast and me. Either that or it was all she could afford....LOL!
Of course, when she got here, she all but unwrapped my present before I could finish unwrapping it. She bought me a measuring tape in a covered container that has a button on the side that reels it back in. She went around measuring things with it, she was so excited about what she got me. She had to tell me the size of everything she could so I would know how to use it. It was cute.
She got the Beast a bungee cord, which was smart of her because he DOES use them and owns a few different sizes. She told me what she got her mother and her daddy but I really only remember what she bought her daddy. Isn't that strange? Yet, I remember thinking she put some thought into her choices because they weren't bad. I'm not saying what she got her daddy because he reads my blog on occasion and, if she puts it under the tree, I don't want to spoil the surprise for him. I have a feeling, however, that she will insist on them opening theirs, too.
Hard to believe that Christmas is almost upon us. Less than two weeks of shopping days to finish buying the presents for those you care about. I almost screamed when I saw what was left in our savings. The Beast has NOT gotten over his spendthrift ways. Our savings are almost gone! When you consider what we had in it just a few months ago, that's almost hard to believe. It isn't that he bought the new cars either. The cars he traded in for them were fairly new and we got a good trade-in for them. He just can't seem to control himself. Now I am in a position that I cannot buy Christmas presents for anyone because we had both our property taxes to pay AND the car insurance payments, too. We are incredibly broke after the Beast taking the extra money for the Genie I spoke about yesterday. **Sigh** I have to let the kids all know not to buy anything for me since I can't get them anything.
It was very cold today. I woke up to 22 degree weather and it warmed all the way up to 37 degrees. However, my Weatherbug told me it felt like 25 degrees with the humidity and wind. Yuk! I'm really not a winter person at all!
The culture the doctor at the Wound Center took last week turned out to have bacteria, I am now on Cipro..an antibiotic, for the next seven....now SIX...days. My appointment is tomorrow morning once again but at 9am instead of 8:30. Woo hoo!
Love you all. Have a fantastic Friday. **Wink**
