I''ve mentioned before that the Beast is not, nor has he ever been, either sentimental or generous of heart. For our 50th Wedding Anniversary last year, my BFF sent us a $100 gift certificate to Lobster House (which I had mentioned to her once that was where I wanted to go out for dinner). If not for that, we would probably never have gone to dinner at all. Our 50th...? He just kind of shrugged it off at first until he saw the gift certificate. THEN, and only then, did he agree to take me down to Gadsden which is the closest location to us.
So today, when I said to him...*Happy Anniversary, dear*...he just said, *Oh...yeah!* That was it. No card, no flowers, no going out to dinner...nothing. Shoot! I sure never thought we would be married this long. Just the fact that we are both breathing for this one should have been cause for a celebration of some sort. And I don't mean the taco's that he ran to Taco Bell to buy for us, either. Some dinner!
His only worry today was running out of our allowed gigabytes before the 15th of the month. We get 30 for the month but it's divided into 15 for daytime (8am until 2am) and the other 15 is available to us from 2am until 8am. Oh, yeah, that works. The winner on that is only Dish since so few people are up at that time. Especially once the kids are back in school. I don't think I have ever used more than 5 gigabytes for that time period and that was when I was up very late almost every night so I could talk with my BFF before she went to bed. She works at her son's flower shop and answering phones, taking orders and as the cashier to help him out, especially on the days when he has to go to his suppliers. Then she and her husband do any shopping they need afterward, then dinner and THEN...if she is feeling well, we would both get on this one particular site we play on and chat as well as play games together or go to special *parties* to get some special charms that increased the amount of coins we collected. All were useless but it's fun to watch them grow. Oh well. Nothing we can do to change that except to let them know we are really disappointed in their division of gigabytes.
We just had a forty minute power interruption. Our cooperatives message said it was due to a failure on the part of their supplier (which is the Tennessee Valley Cooperative). I guess they had a generator or some such thing go down on them. At least it's up and running again now but it sure screws up the ice maker in our fridge for the next 24 hours....LOL!
Love you all. I'm going to get this posted quickly in case we end up having another outage. Be good and be kind. ***Hugs***
HINT: ( This is one that I know works great!) For a great glass cleaner, fill a 3-cup spray bottle with 1/2 teaspoon liquid dish detergent, 3 tablespoons white vinegar, and two cups water. For very dirty glass, use more detergent. (Helpful hint from me...invest in a Squeegie. Then just spray the window well and use the squeegie either up and down, or across from top to bottom. Wipe it with a clean rag between passes then use the rag to gently wipe around the edges to finish).
