The Beast can now actually go outside without a hat on, which he did this morning for a bit. But, what was he thinking when he looked in the mirror and came dashing into my computer room to tell me...*Look at my face! I'm peeling!* I just looked at him and said, *Oh really? Gee, I hadn't noticed. Honestly, did you forget about that part? It's not like this is the first time you've had this done.* He then said, *I really didn't remember this happening.*
I told him to just use a Scrungee on his face when he showered and then apply this lotion that I handed to him. It has aloe in it and will not make his face sting. It will also keep the skin nice and supple (although that's totally wasted on him...LOL). That made him feel better and it DID help when he took his shower. But you can see a few spots that are still peeling. He looked closely at his face as he applied the lotion and said, *Do you think you could vacuum my face before I go to church? I don't want to scare the kids!* I just laughed. He CAN be funny at times.
While he was out with some of his church friends, I went to the store to pick up a few things for dinner and two prescriptions that were ready for pick-up. I also bought myself some new undies (I needed some that fit since the others I had were for when I weighed a bit more). I hate baggy undies! I put on the boot cut jeans I bought last week or was it longer? I forget. Anyway, when I originally tried them on, I was concerned about how it fit at my waist and my butt. When I put them on today, I discovered that they were a bit long for me (and I am long legged). But I just folded them like a lot of the kids do and wore them anyway....without wearing my boots. It was nice and warm and sunny so I wore my sandals, thank you very much!
I went to the pharmacy first, thankfully. I had gotten a phone call that my *prescription* was ready and I thought it was the balance of my Neurotin (for the neuropathy in my feet). But, no! It was the new prescription for Plavix. But the gal said they could give me the balance today since they got their delivery yesterday. I was glad I needed to do some shopping so I told her I would be back before I checked out. After picking up some salad mix (greens), cucumbers, green onions. corn on the cob and cherry tomatoes, I went and bought some nice pork chops since I had a taste for them. I remembered the Beast wanted some yeast for some no-knead bread that he wants to make. I meant to pick up one of those seedless little watermelons but forgot since they weren't right there in a big display that I noticed. They sometimes put them out front of the store so you pick one up when you come in to shop. (Sure enough...that's where they were. I saw them when I went to the car).
By the time I picked out my undies, the prescription I really needed was ready so I got those and then went and paid for the groceries. The Beast was home when I returned and was glad I remembered the yeast since he kept forgetting. I made us some lunch and then went to check on my FB page to see what was new on it. Later, I made our dinner which was a nice salad, pork chops, corn on the cob and a nuked potato. I found out that our sour cream was spoiled...not moldy at all but it had separated badly so I poured it down the sink and we ate our nuked potatoes with just butter, salt and pepper. I grabbed a couple of pepperoncini just because I could....lol.
The Beast had gone to Publix to get some of their canned dog food, which Baron likes. He mixes it with the chicken he makes for Baron and some veggies that he nukes. Baron just loves cauliflower, can you believe it? When we give him the California blend (carrots, cauliflower and broccoli), Baron will eat the cauliflower first and the broccoli is his last choice. The Beast bought him a knuckle bone, too, and gave it to him after he had eaten his dinner. Baron went crazy with it until I finally let him into my computer room. He can't seem to eat them unless he is on a rug. It doesn't scoot around like it does on the wood floors or the tile. I've watched him when he tries to eat one in the living room and it's hilarious to see. He tries to get a good position so he can bite down and it goes shooting a few feet away! Too funny!
The Beast called the vet and made an appointment finally for Baron. I can't remember now if it's for Tuesday or Wednesday, I was just relieved that he finally did it. When it comes to Baron, HE is the only one that can take him to the vet for anything that isn't just booster shots. That IS his best buddy after all!
We are going into the time of year that tornadoes are more likely to occur in our area so the Beast check to make sure the solar batteries are fully charged (yes, they are) and that we have gas for the big generator (no, not enough). He and Dennis had a big discussion the other day about generators since Dennis doesn't have one yet for his house. Every time we have a tornado around here, we lose our electric service for a couple days. The Princess said they have to invest in one, too, since the neighbors told her that, because they are so rural, it takes a longer time for their service to be restored. They said the usual time is four or five days. After cruising through the area, I can believe it. I think they try to restore service to more populated areas first. Guess you can't have everything when you want to have acreage. Their 10 acres is probably one of the smaller properties.
Tomorrow we will have much hotter weather than we have had for a couple days. Heck, our low tonight is only going to be around 72 so you know what it will probably be like. It's the humidity (from the rain the past couple of days) that will make it uncomfortable. I've noticed that my antiperspirant isn't quite doing it's job as well as it should. Just what I need....NOT!
Time to head to bed. Love you all. Have a fantastic Sunday. Hope you aren't in one of the areas that they say will be having some really nasty rain and possible tornadoes. If so, please be careful and stay informed. If a tornado is seen in your area, for heaven's sake, take shelter. ***Hugs***
