I Crawl Into Bed And Stay There...LOL!

It was that kind of day.  Cold, snowy and a blustery wind!  Yeah, we got snow.  Not a whole lot of it.  Maybe a half inch?  I watched it come down on the roof of the cottage from the window in my computer room.  I had to keep adjusting the heat settings in my computer room because of coming back and forth from the rest of the house where there was a definite temperature difference.  I spent some time setting up my pill box for the next week while I was watching the snow come down and being blown around by the wind bursts.  It was not a sight that enthralled me.  It made me duck under the covers and curl up into a sleep mode, not unlike some hibernating animal except that I woke up to pee, drink water and eat something at the appropriate times.  **Sigh**  People just can't hibernate properly!  But, we do give it a good try at times.  **Wink**

I couldn't believe my ears when the Beast told me he cooked the cauliflower in the pressure cooker.  He didn't even have to finish what he was telling me because I already knew.....he put it on for five minutes and overcooked it.  Of course, he didn't core the head but put the whole thing in, leaves included.  Then he didn't immediately release the pressure, either.  He knows that it keeps cooking but he figured that would cook up the center of the head of cauliflower.  He should have just planned on making cauliflower soup.  That is just about what he had when he finally was going to get a little of it for Baron.  Baron, who loves cauliflower, sniffed it and looked at the Beast like he was crazy.  He wouldn't touch it because it had the wrong texture.  It was more like mashed potatoes and a bit overcooked at that.....LOL.

When I asked him why he used the pressure cooker, he said it was because we didn't have any pots big enough for it.  I looked at him in disbelief and said, *You didn't core and separate the florets, did you?*  He looked at me, blankly, and said, *You are supposed to cook the whole thing together, right?*  He would have known you didn't but he never listens if I say something that he just does not believe.  I had asked him if he wanted me to separate the florets for him and he just said, *No, I can do that.*  Never once (stupid me!) did it occur to me that he was clueless about the whole thing.  Oh well.

I'm actually ready to head back to bed.  It's 14 degrees outside and the wind chill makes it feel like ZERO if you go outside!  So I am going to say I love you and keep warm and dry.  I am  hoping to get thru the next few days without having to go out in this mess.  I'm an old person now and at risk, as they say.  LOL!  **Hugs**
