THE LOST IS FOUND!

THIS IS THE BLOG THAT WAS LOST.  I FOUND IT IN MY DRAFT SECTION AND *I* DID NOT PUT IT THERE.  HERE IT IS.  ENJOY!

Today was the day the nurse came to draw blood for testing to see if I am maintaining the correct level of the antibiotic in my system.  If not, I'm sure I will hear from them tomorrow and I will probably get some new concoction or mixture...whatever.  She watched me put a new dressing on my toe and said I had done it all correctly (yippee!).  Then, once she left, I forgot about doing my IV infusion for an hour and a half so I am back at 2pm once again....sigh.

I had to call the nephrologist that I was scheduled to see on Thursday to tell him about this course of antibiotics because it would surely screw up any tests that he might want to have me take.  His nurse agreed that, since the pharmaceutical company was monitoring my kidney functions, if he wanted, he could contact them to find out any information they might have that would concern him.  She is going to contact them to find out for sure when my course ends and then we will reset my appointment for about a week afterward.

Even though the Princess didn't work or else was home early, Chewlee came here after school.  She got to stay for an hour (to watch her Peppa Pigs and for a bit of spoiling, too).  She was so excited because she was invited to her friends birthday party this Saturday.  There's a sleepover afterward but she really didn't think she would be able to stay.  But she WANTED to go to the birthday party.  She felt so special that she was invited.  She wasn't sure if she would be able to go but she was sure hoping she could.  The Princess has to work but I told her that didn't matter.  I would take her if it was okay with her.

Then, after Chewlee left, the Beast started feeling bad.  He didn't look good either so I got him to go lay down for a nap.  However, he got up when he had decided to go to bed for the night in a panic because he said he couldn't breathe.  He refused, however, to go to the hospital.  I know he was afraid he would have to stay and they wouldn't let him leave once he started breathing right.  They would want to make tests to see what caused it.  His solution was some vaporub since it opens up the breathing passages and he took a couple antihistamines because I have a feeling it might actually be an allergy from something on the dog.

Baron runs through this one field that is full of wild growth and I suspect that he's gotten poison ivy once or twice (at least that's what the vet said).  Not a bad case of it but enough to set him itching like crazy so that HE had to have an antihistamine to stop him from scratching.  And, of course, a lotion we had to apply to his skin for a couple days, too.  Anyway, since Baron insists on sleeping next to the Beast, it's a possibility.  Either that or the Beast has become allergic to Baron.  Who knows?  Especially since the Beast gets over it and acts like it's no big deal.  Me?  I keep checking on the Beast's breathing most of the night.  Not good for MY peace of mind or my sleep, either.

He was laying in my recliner which is warmer than his because mine is fabric, his is leather.  When he had his head elevated, his breathing because less labored and he calmed down, too.  I finally set up an incline of pillows on the bed since he was really tired and he laid down there without having breathing problems.  So he went to sleep and I keep going over to check on him.

Like I said, not a bad day until this happened.  Oh well.  More than likely he will be fine in the morning like he has been the other couple times this has happened to him.  I hope so, anyway.
