I Couldn't Keep An Internet Connection Last Night....

We had a heavy cloud cover last night from the rainy weather pattern that is hitting so much of the States today.  That meant our satellite internet connection sucked!  I kept being kicked offline and not able to get back on again for various lengths of time.  I finally gave up and just played my Jewel Quest game.  I was just glad I hadn't started my blog to see it disappear into cyberspace.

I got a call from the Princess shortly after the Beast and I had eaten our dinner of fish fillets, green beans and potatoes.  She said that Chewlee wanted to come and have a sleepover with me.  I, of course, told her bring her over.  It made me stop and think, at first, because I forgot for a second that she was on vacation.

Shortly thereafter, Chewlee got dropped off and our adventure started.  She hadn't eaten so I fixed her some food and she was obviously hungry because she ate everything and then had to have her pickles.  She watched some TV, watched me talk online to Carol (she even dictated a few things for me to type to her...LOL!), took her bath, dressed for bed then got to play one of her games online on the Beast's computer.  Then it was bedtime.  She told me all the things she and her mother had done together before she got dropped off (the last stop for them was the playground) and I understood why she fell asleep almost immediately.  The kid was tired.  It even explained why she was so calm and not anxious about going outside to ride her bike.  She never even asked.  When I told her it was bedtime, she went in and brushed her teeth like I told her when she realized she did, indeed, have a toothbrush of her own here.  I've always kept one for her.  It was just so long since she had stayed here on any regular basis that she forgot.

Of course, this morning, it was different.  She woke up full of piss and vinegar, wanting pickles which I did not let her have since the rule is that she must eat her meal (be it breakfast, lunch or dinner) before she is allowed pickles.  Then she only gets two of the midget dills I  get for her.  After she ate those, then it was ride her bike *around the block*.  That means she stops at all the houses where she knows the kids to see if they can come out to play.  Unfortunately, most of those kids are enrolled in daily summer camp programs.  She will probably be going home before they even get back.  But she went twice around the circle and her legs were tired because the last leg coming home is on a gravel road...lol.

It's not very hot today because we have heavy cloud cover moving in and no sunshine.  It more than likely won't even hit 80.  Love you all.  Have a great day and evening.  Drive careful.  ***Hugs***

She's laying on the carpeting in my computer room right now, watching TV and drinking milk.  Milk is her drink of choice.  She doesn't like any kind of soda, which is a good thing to my way of thinking.  She will drink most juices, too.
