Today I had to get to my laundry. I ended up with two loads of mixed pajamas, undies and regular clothing. I was actually shocked that I had that many in my dirty clothes hamper. But at least I got it done...finally.
It was another of those nice days. It got up to 72 with almost no wind. It didn't start to rain until it got dark. Right now it's 58 degrees F. but we are getting the occasional gusts of wind that seems like it's around 12mph but mostly it's only 7mph. This is the kind of weather that actually seems to make people sick since you don't know how to dress for it. Cool or cold in the mornings but then you get the spring-like weather later and you are stuck with clothing that makes you sweat....unless you layered with lighter clothes underneath the warmer ones.
The poor Princess broke her ankle at home the other day and is on total bedrest with a hard cast on it. She has to go back to the doctor's for an X-ray and to check on how it's healing. She was told that, if it looks good, she will get a walking shoe so she can be up, out of bed. Sounds strange to me but I'm not her doctor. Right now, her hubby has taken over the care of the kids and the house plus all their animals (chickens, rabbits, goat, dog....LOL) and Chewlee has stepped up to take care of Gunner when she is home from school. She told her mother not to worry, that she would care for him. I am so proud of her for that.
I feel bad for Johnnycakes, who comes home from working all night and has to stay up...at least until Chewlee gets home from school. Luckily, Gunner loves his daddy and more than likely helps out with caring for the animals (as much as he can!). I'm glad the weather is good for Johnnycake's sake. That makes things a bit easier since he doesn't have to dress Gunner in winter garb on top of his clothes. The Princess wants that walking shoe so she is being very, very good about the bedrest thing. Johnnycakes makes the food for them all. I think he will be glad when the Princess can take that back. Hopefully, that's just a few days away.
My back was killing me but it was the worst when I tried bending over beyond a certain point. I tried putting my back brace on but it actually made it worse so I gave that up as a lost cause. I ended up taking a couple of my (light) pain pills to get some relief. I still can't really bend over without pain but I can at least sit up now.
I really need to get back to bed so I am going to close this for now. The cat is begging for her squishy food (thank you, Carol, for that part of her Christmas gift. She loves it!) so I need to give her a can first. Love you all. Be happy. Stay healthy. ***Hugs***
