I read that the flu has taken a giant leap all over the country. No surprise here because I think I've had a taste of it the last couple days. Some barfing, definite fever that was kind of off and on, sweating and no appetite. I really should have felt more dehydrated than I did but some of the *barfing* was actually dry heaves. I just know I felt like crap and spent most of my time sleeping.
I'm still not feeling up to snuff but I did manage a bit of soup and some crackers plus I drank loads of water. I'll pay for that later with potty breaks, I'm sure.
Dennis got into trouble with the Beast and it's partly my fault. He was gone and I was supposed to be checking on him, off and on, since the Beast felt the dog was itching to cause trouble. He is still a puppy, of course, so trouble is his middle name. Too bad he's a Lab because their *puppy* phase lasts for two years or so. I don't know if the Beast has that kind of patience any more. Especially since his target this time was the Beast's shoes. His NEW sneakers. Luckily, the damage isn't severe. He pretty much pulled the lining up on the inside bottom of them. Must be the sweat that appeals. Yuk!
Unfortunately, I didn't check on him as often as I would have if I felt better and I think the Beast knew that. He didn't even give me a dirty look and just yelled at Dennis and waved the shoe in his face. Dennis knew he did wrong. His head was down and his tail was curled under his belly. He couldn't even look at the Beast.
Well, time for me to go lay down for a bit. I'm feeling a bit nauseous right now. Love you all. I wish you good health and no flu. ***Hugs***
