What a difference a day makes! Today was a lot cooler than yesterday....about 20 degrees cooler. It actually got up into the 70's yesterday but today it barely got above 50 until this afternoon. It started out bright and sunny, however, and that was nice but then we got rain in the afternoon. At least the threat of tornadoes was gone.
By evening, we got a bit of sun again but it stayed very cloudy. Tonight it will be down in the mid-30's so I have a nice warm pair of jammies on. I can't wait for it to be Spring and then will welcome Summer to our area!
The Beast decided to do a soaker bath tonight with some epsom salts. Everyone kept telling him that it would help those muscles in his side and back that were causing him pain and he finally was ready to try anything to feel better. Guess what? It DID make those muscles loosen up and they stopped hurting him to the point where he told me it felt like 80% of the *hurt* was gone. He went to bed early since he felt like he would sleep much better and he wanted that most of all.
Since I have been going to bed so much earlier, I am finding I get tired earlier, too. I'm not taking a nap much these days either. The Beast has been doing an early bedtime for months (on most nights) and I hear him get up when he puts the coffee pot on in the morning. It's usually right around 5:30-6am. If he has a bad night, he will sometimes not get up until around 7-7:30am.
We found out today that, for some reason, they decided they had to operate on Diane today. Dennis knew we were thinking of going to see Diane so he called when he got to the hospital and found out she was already in the operating room at 9:30am. He was shocked but had no idea why they changed their mind about waiting until the infection was cleared up. When he came home, he said that she was pretty much *out of it* and he hadn't seen the doctor so he still was clueless. He hopes it doesn't cause any serious problems with her recovery and so do I.
I remember when I finally got my gall bladder removed. I had gall stones and it caused me a LOT of pain. That pain was gone but it was replaced with a different kind of pain that I really can't describe. That took me a while to get over and it left me very weak for about a week. I couldn't lift anything that weighed more than 5 lbs. for a month (doctor's orders) and, trust me, I wouldn't have tried! I DID wonder if it had to do with organs shifting around inside me and my body getting use to not having a gall bladder to aid in digestion.
Bedtime for Bonzo now so I will bid you all good night and sweet dreams. Love you all. ***Hugs***
