Surprise! She's Home Already....

By *she*, I mean Diane.  I don't know why I'm surprised since I was home the day after my gall bladder was removed but I thought the infection would keep her in a bit longer.

She says she is on two different antibiotics since they are treating it aggressively.  She said they were doing the same thing right from when they first started treating her after finding the infection.  But, she said the tests showed an increase in her white blood cells so her body was responding to the treatment and she had no fever for most of the night and all day today until she got home.

She told me the worse part of her getting so ill the night she finally knew she needed to go to the hospital was that she started vomiting and couldn't stop.  They had a hard time stopping it at the hospital, too.  It was such a relief when they finally did stop it that she said she fell asleep for the first time in two days.

She feels great today....in comparison to how she felt a few days ago.  She wants to show me the *picture* of her gall bladder with all the stones she had in it.  She said she was shocked when she saw it.  I had quite a few, too, but I don't think as many as she says she had.  But I had some big ones, that much I remember.  I didn't elect to keep the picture of mine, however.  That just seems weird to me.

I made us some salmon patties for dinner tonight.  It had a *use by...* date that was last year and we debated whether we were going to use it or not but I decided to go ahead.  I did find out that the *use by...* has a point, however.  It's *taste*.  A lot of the salmon taste was lost in just a couple months of it being past due.  From now on, out the cans go if they are past.  If it were just ...say...a month, then maybe.  But if it's more than 3-4 months...out it goes.  I happen to like the taste to be as I remember it.  This was kind of *flat* tasting.  But we ate several hours ago and no other problems have popped up so .....

It's not going to be as cold at night as it has been, thank goodness.  Even if it's just for a week, I'll take that.  I hate having to turn up the heat because it dries out my nose.  And, with my allergies having an early *wake up* by this weird, warm weather, I am sneezing.  When I sneeze, my nose sometimes bleeds when it's gotten all dried up from the heat.  I just can't win.

I was shocked to see the peach trees and the plum all have blossoms on it.  The Beast says so does the pear trees.  Even the trees are confused by the strange weather pattern this year.    I've noticed that the firs/pines/spruce trees are throwing out their spores.  I had a coating of light yellow *dust* on my table on the deck.  *Sigh*  We don't usually see that until April or May.

I spent today watching BBCAmerica because they have been running their documentaries about Earth, the Blue Planet.  I love their documentaries.  They are always informative and fascinating.  How they manage to get some of the underwater scenes is mind-boggling.  It was a really nice day in that way for me.  I think the only thing I enjoy more is the new ones on Discovery that is all about the various dinosaurs, using the new technique for their animation.  It's just amazing.

Okay, bedtime for me.  I'm tired and this is late for me but I wanted to watch the Animal Planet series on the Bronx Zoo.  I find it's done in a very interesting manner and is very informative.  It makes me want to see that zoo even....LOL.  And, trust me, I am not fond of New York at all.

Love you all.  Be good.  Be happy.  Surround yourself with only positive people who love you (or like you) just the way you are.  ***Hugs***
