Another Late Night Post....sigh!

It's late and I should be back in bed but woke up with an urgent need for the bathroom.  Now I am a bit afraid to go back to bed!  Not sure what's wrong with my bowels but not going to take any chances until I feel *settled*.

It was a quiet day today even though the Beast didn't end up going to Huntsville for his big church gathering.  Well, he DID try in the afternoon when his knee felt better.  He had twisted his leg and got his knee hurting him.  He went to his meeting to try to be there for the afternoon session but all the Handicap spaces were marked off limits for his church members and he couldn't find any place to park at all.  He was even willing to pay for parking but couldn't find a space anywhere nearby so he came home.  He says he's going to leave around 5am to get himself there at a decent time (after stopping for breakfast at a nearby fast food place).  That way he figures he will be able to get a close parking space to the entrance.  I'll get up when he's getting ready and make him a lunch to take with him so he won't have to move the car.

I made some salsa today but ended up cooking it down a bit more than I had planned.  But...that's fixable since I wanted to add some chopped tomatoes to it to make it chunky and that will dilute it a little bit and it should be perfect.  It's spicy and hot but has great flavor to it.  I'm pleased with how it turned out since I was only making it for me and the Beast.  He will probably dilute his with some of the commercial salsa that's not so spicy since he's not as big a fan of hot and spicy as I am.

Then, with the other tomatoes I have, I will make some spaghetti sauce, only not hot, of course.  We use a spicy hot sausage to make our spaghetti so there's no reason to do that.  I'll probably make spaghetti for dinner then for when the Beast gets home around 5 or so tomorrow.  It's just a shame we don't have any Italian bread but I may just call the Beast and tell him to stop and pick some up unless I find some garlic bread or Texas toast in the freezer.  I'm just not sure if we have any or not until I check.

I got another two green peppers off our plant so those will go into the spaghetti sauce and having really fresh green peppers will be as good as our fresh tomatoes....LOL.  I used our NutriNinja today for the first time and was impressed with it.  I'll be using the food processor tomorrow and will get an idea how good that is then.  I may even make up some of the drink recipes (veggies and fruit only) that are in the books that came with it.  We have enough of the basics in the fridge to make damn near anything....LOL!

Hot again today.  Even Baron didn't try to lay down on the driveway after doing his business.  That's usually what he does afterward.  He just trotted back to the porch to have me let him in the house.  Even though we haven't had any rain in a few days, it felt muggy outside.  He came inside where the AC was running and plopped down on the wooden floor (even though he doesn't usually like sleeping on the floors).  The Beast forgot to shut the guest room door and he found Baron on the rug next to the bed (this was later) after Baron had pawed up the runner rug that was covering his favorite spot.  The Beast yelled at him but didn't put the runner back (he left that up to me) since he can't really bend down.  I can and do when he drops things and starts swearing.  That is, IF I hear him swearing.  I know exactly why he's doing it when he does.

Love you all but I am finally feeling *settled down* so I am going back to bed now.  Be good and do an act of kindness today.  It's one thing everyone can do that doesn't cost you anything.  ***Hugs***

HINT:  Caulking can be a tricky business---it's hard to get perfect lines, but if you try smoothing them down with your finger, it sticks, creating an even uglier sight.  When you need to smooth down caulk, try using an ice cube instead.  The cold will help set the line, and it won't stick to the ice.
