We Find Out The MRI Results.....

Looks like it really IS the Beast's back causing him all the pain he's been in.  It turns out he has some bulges in between his discs as well as tears back there.  He said to me, *I've never heard of a torn disc before!*  I told him the tears are more than likely in the ligaments that attach back there.  He'll find out when the doctor sets him up with an appointment with a specialist that will be able to give him some kind of options and a prognosis.

It was a kind of decent day today until the clouds rolled in (the dark ones that presage a possible storm).  The Beast and I sat out on the front porch stairs for a bit while Baron roamed the front yard and seemed to be smelling all over the place like some new dog had moved into the area and violated his space.  He was really intense and took a minute or two to stop when he was finally called over to us.

Cee called me to tell me that Tara is back in the hospital again.  Her bleeding started and this time it was more serious.  She was sent directly to the hospital from her doctor's office due to the amount of blood he determined she had lost (more than 5 pints which was serious enough a loss to almost kill a friend of mine years ago).  So she's getting a few blood transfusions, which will take time and they have to give her some tests to find out what the hell is causing this.  At least, that's what we hope they do.  With all the technology they have available, they should be able to determine that.  I'm concerned over whether or not she has insurance.  She must have since the advent of the president's new program, which has been a godsend to many people with their own businesses that aren't yet generating a lot of disposable income.  I just want my Tara to get well and be healthy.  She's much too young to have serious health problems and we love her dearly.

I think she's at our local hospital (the North location) so I may just try to go see her tomorrow.  She always tried to come and visit with me whenever I was in the hospital.  It can get boring unless she is in a lot of pain.  If she is, I will keep my visit short because I know I hated to be cheerful if I was in a lot of pain.  LOL!  Like you can be...

The skirt for the new bed came today and it's not only cute (it's ruffled) but it also fits perfectly.  All the furniture has been cleaned off and waxed, the rug vacuumed well and then cleaned, the new runner rug is down and the linens and covering are ready.  We need just two things to arrive now:  the mattress and the spread/blanket holder.  The room will be ready for his cousin to spend the night in before their trip down to Florida (the Cape area) at the end of the month.

I got some pictures of the reunion I missed with my gf's from high school in June.  However, they are planning on one that a few more of us that are still living will be able to attend.  They are just trying to coordinate a date so we can book our transportation or drive in.  I will have to fly, of course, since the Beast really doesn't trust me to make that trip without him and he has no interest in going up there only to leave me without transportation so that I am dependent on my gf's for a ride.

What he doesn't know is that my gf, Marilyn, has already told me that she would just love for me to be able to stay a whole week for a change so we could actually go to a few places that would be fun for us to see again....like the Natural History Museum and a few new places that she mentioned.  She said she could pick me up and take us since she knows the Beast.  She would like to spare me having to rent a car because she knows where I would be staying.  That is, if my ex-sister-in-law didn't have plans for the time period.  She and her husband have been doing a lot of traveling this past year so I would be dependent on being able to coordinate that with her.

I got the new 7 day forecast from the Weather Channel for our area and we are heading for another bout of hot weather.  That makes ME happy but not so much the Beast.  He's going to be at a Regional church meeting in Huntsville and the place that they are using is kind of an outdoor theater.  I tried to tell him that it also forecast nice winds and most of those places have large ceiling fans that help move the air around.  He's never been there before so he's not really sure or happy about the prospect.  When I said, *So stay home then...* he gave me a look fit to kill.  I gather he's already promised to give a couple people a ride due to the ages of their cars.  He's acted as their driver before when the gatherings were in Birmingham.

That takes place this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and I am looking forward to the time alone.  Well, me and Baron.  Although I may invite my sister, Cee over, if Tara is out of the hospital by then.  Cee is helping out at the house while she is gone.  I figured I might make us some of MY kind of potato pancakes and, perhaps, we can make a nice loaf of banana bread or some other treat to send over to Tara's for her and the kids, as well as my sister, Baby Brat.

Time to get this posted.  Love you all.  Hope your week has started out well.  I wish you good weather all week long.  Remember to smile because it confuses the people that see you.  They wonder just what the hell you are smiling at!  ***Hugs***
