Frame Installed...All We Need Now Is The Mattress!

The frame for the guest room bed arrived and the Beast put it together and got it attached to the headboard with a little help from me to keep it from shifting while he screwed it into the headboard.  It's a nice height...12 inches so it allows us to get the vacuum underneath it when it needs it.  We decided to keep the door shut to keep Baron out of the room.  He has a bad habit of rubbing his face (I guess when it itches...) on the sheet.  He even moves the bedspread or comforter to do it.  It's maddening because it's always when he needs a bath so there's a dirty mark when the sheets are fresh.  I can't begin to count the times I've had to strip the bed when we've had NO company to wash the sheets because of that.

He also hates the runner rug we have between the dresser and the bed and he claws it into a clump.  He did that one night and I almost killed myself the next morning (I slept with Chewlee so she would go to sleep in the bed, instead of making a bed on the floor in my computer room).  I was lucky the dresser was there so I could catch myself....and not kill the dog.

The Beast decided the new mattress will go into the guest room.  I will enjoy sleeping in there with Chewlee since it's the foam mattress I wanted.  I told the Beast that I just may make it my room and he just laughed.  However, I don't think he would really mind since I hate when Baron sneaks up on our bed.  Eventually that horse of a dog just about knocks me off the bed when he stretches out his legs.  He's a taller than average Doberman so that means longer legs...LOL.  I DO  like to use that room to take a nap in if I have had a bad night (like tonight).  I'm just NOT tired and it's almost 3:30am.  I did sleep until noon after being up just a short time this morning.  The Beast was sleeping in and I was still so tired that I slept in my recliner before I woke up feeling great.

I got busy folding a load of clothes the Beast had washed.  He washed two more blankets and we folded those before putting them on the blanket stand.  He's going to order one for the guest room now since we really like the whole idea of having them....just in case.  He mentioned getting down comforters for both beds and I reminded him I already had one for our bed.  It's in it's plastic bag out in the cottage so I'm going to bring it back into the house tomorrow before I leave for Cee's place.  We decided to spend the day together just enjoying our time together.  It's nice to have her close again.  We had hoped that Boaz would have a fireworks planned but they go to either Guntersville or down to Gadsden.

The Beast is going out with a group from his church in the morning so I told him I was going to be gone before he got home.  All I intend to do is pick a couple tomatoes for Cee, get the down comforter out of the cottage (and a brand new purse that's out there.  My poor purse is just about fini!)  It's a denim one that I've had (and used daily) for almost five years.  It's time to retire it, I think.  I may try dying it if it isn't wounded since it's badly faded.  It just looks so....pathetic....LOL!

I spent almost six...count them...six hours! just reading everything that was *shared* on my FB page by my friends and family members.  Of course, I did have a lot of links I checked out (not commercial ones) and the videos they posted take time.  I almost wish I didn't have so many friends and family that are on FB.  But it's nice to know what's going on with everyone and see the pictures of their kids and other loved ones.  At least I do it mostly late at night, especially on nights where I am up late.

Tomorrow will be *iffy* as far as fireworks go.  We are told that there will be scattered thunderstorms in our area so it's a *wait-and-see what happens* thing.  We are having a thunderstorm right now (another late nighter) but the thunder is mostly off in the distance still.  It's coming closer so the storm will probably be right on top of us within a half hour or so at the most.  I set up the coffee pot for morning so the Beast and I can have coffee together out on the deck if it's not raining before he leaves.  I'll pick the tomatoes to bring to Cee's place and get the things out of the cottage after he leaves.  I'll be able to take a nice long shower in peace then, too.  I have a new body wash that the Beast bought me...he couldn't find the one I usually buy so he grabbed one he thought I might like.  He's right...I may like this one.  It's an almond wash that I used a long time ago and remembered the scent of it when I opened up the top.  It felt great as I recall.

I have such thin skin nowadays that, when I bump my arm, I get a cluster of blood underneath the skin.  It's just awful how it looks.  I swear, it looks like I have some terrible disease.  It doesn't help that I have to take a (full strength) aspirin every day as well as Plavix (due to the clogging problem in my leg arteries).  The aspirin is a blood thinner and the Plavix slows down any clotting.  It's function is to actually discourage blood clots but it sure doesn't help my arms out.  The last couple of *bumps* I had were full of blood and broke open.  I used up a lot of bandages and they are just starting to go away again.  Now if I could only stop bumping myself!

I hope everyone has a fun but safe 4th of July celebration.  If you are having a barbeque...great!  Just make sure not to drink and drive.  The cops are always out in force on a Holiday like this.  I wish everyone great weather for their fireworks.  Love you all.  Be safe.  ***Hugs***

HINT:  When going on a picnic, bring a roll of duct tape.  Use the duct tape to tape the sides of the tablecloth to the picnic table and you won't have to worry about it blowing away.  HAVE FUN!
