The Beast had put up a clothes pole on the outer wall, next to the closet a few months ago. This morning, when he went to get dressed to meet up with some of the people from his church, he found all his summer clothes on the floor, mostly covered in plaster dust. His clothes pole had fallen down due to the screws from the holder pulling out of the wall. It was a real mess.
So, at 7:00 am, he was at Lowe's buying new holders AND a larger, stronger pole. He decided the metal one he had was just too lightweight and wasn't made for the larger, longer screws the sheetrock used for the walls needed to penetrate through the wood studs in back of it.
Once he got home with his supplies, he put up the holders (3 of them) on the wall after he had located the studs. Then he cut the wooden rod that rests in it so that it fit and screwed it to the holders. It's nice and sturdy now. His pants were shaken and the dust came right off them but he will have to either iron a couple of the shirts or put them in the dryer and steam them to refresh them. Yes, we have THAT kind of dryer.
This was all completed by 7:30am so he did dress and meet up with his church friends. They were doing some letter writing to invite people to attend services in the area around their church, I gather. When he came home, he vacuumed up the plaster dust and pronounced the room *clean* again....LOL.
While he was gone, and I was waiting for Cee to come by to pick up some more tomatoes (and drop off my French vanilla creamer I had left at her house), I filled up the sprinkler can and watered some leafy plants that are hanging under the porch area of the cottage. They hadn't gotten any of the rain we've had the last couple weeks and were incredibly dry, which left the leaves drooping badly. I watered them until the water started pouring out from the bottom of the pot. Within a short time, the plant looked just fantastic. No more droopy leaves. LOL!
Cee got there soon after and told me that Tara was going to be in the hospital at least another day, which means she will probably not get to go home until Thursday. She has a bleeding ulcer (surprise, surprise!) and that's why she is eating only soft foods for a while to allow her stomach to heal with the aid of the medication she will be taking. I'm guessing it's something like prescription strength tagamet. That's what the Beast was on when he had HIS ulcer years ago. Of course, they may have something even better now. I didn't get to see Tara today but I am going to go see her tomorrow for sure.
I ran across a problem today with the computer not recognizing a file I had that was a picture of some flowers. It told me I had broken files that needed to be fixed. I gather that's common with Win7 and Microsoft has a fix for it. What pisses me off, however, is that Microsoft also *suggested* that I probably had registry problems also. So what do they want me to download? One of those programs that goes through your files and then tells you that you have HUNDREDS of problems and for just $xxx per month, they will fix them all and fix any problems that crop up. I had run across that program before and was well aware that it was full of crap. But it made mee made. Since when is Bill Gates hand-in-hand with a highway robber? Or is he so unhappy with the fact that he's JUST a billionaire many times over that he has to earn more money by teaming up with them?
I'm off to bed after I get this posted. I'm truly tired and I don't think I will have a problem sleeping tonight. Love you all. Be good. Stay dry and safe. ***Hugs***
PS: No hint tonight due to extreme tiredness. This has taken me more time than usual due to all the mistakes I've been making (and correcting) since I am so very, very tired. Forgive any mistakes I may have missed.
