I Start A Trip To The Hospital.....

I headed out this afternoon to make a trip to see my niece, Tara, who has still not stopped bleeding, apparently.  I have no idea why, but the doctors have decided the bleeding is taking place above the waist and not below.  Since they haven't done a colonoscopy yet, I have no idea why they would think that.  But they have decided to put her on a bland diet, I gather, if they are feeding her at all, and are giving her some kind of IV drip that will prevent gastric juices from forming in her stomach to see if they can heal up the ulcer in the stomach.  If that doesn't work, then they will have to go ahead and do the colonoscopy, I guess.

Poor Tara.  I know how she hates inactivity.  She is one of those people that are constantly on the go and has to be doing something until she finally almost collapses.  Chronic hyperactivity, I guess....LOL.

Anyway, on my way to the North branch of our local area hospital, I realized I had missed the turnoff ... again.  So I headed over to Tara's house, knowing there was a good chance my sister, Cee, would be there.  She was going to be working on washing the two visiting kids' clothes so they could be packed for the trip to meet their dad halfway on Saturday.  Their maternal grandfather is coming up from Florida to take them so that Tara doesn't have to worry about that while she's trying to get better.  Cee was there so I went in and it turns out that Cee knew just how to get to the hospital from Tara's house since she had made the trip to see her the other day.  We tried to call Tara to see if she was feeling up to company (I really hadn't thought about that to begin with but did once I got to the house) and also to make sure they weren't planning on taking this time of day to do tests.  They do that I know from MY trips to the hospital lately...LOL.

Turned out she was out of her room having some test or other done but, by the time she returned the call, I had already been gone from home longer than I had planned and I knew the Beast was going to go out to dinner with our friends.  He already knew I really wasn't up to it.  I hadn't slept well (my back was killing me all night) and just wanted to be able to come home and rest.  I also planned on an early night.  I'm only up now because I am thirsty and had to get up to use the bathroom (of course!).  I also had left my computer doing a virus scan (I do one every week because of being on FB so much lately).  I figured I would take some time to do this blog before shutting down my computer for the night.  I know it's not infected with a known virus and I just made sure my virus program was updated yesterday.

Turns out the Beast went to a new Japanese restaurant in our area and said the food was good but he didn't seem overly impressed.  It's tough to beat Benihana's....LOL.  And we don't have one here.   I just made myself a sandwich since I was more tired than hungry.  I'm STILL tired so I don't think I will have a problem going back to sleep.

It was definitely hot today...and humid.  I don't mind the heat but the humidity did affect me.  I was sweating all along the edge of my hair and down the back of my neck.  But, it wasn't bad as long as the sweat wasn't dripping down my neck...then it was annoying.  But as soon as I headed back home and the breeze was coming in the windows (yes, I had them down even though the air outside was 96), I was fine.  The Beast had the AC on in the kitchen so I headed directly into my computer room where there was NO air on.  I got into my jammies and then sat down to play my game for a bit before I put my YIM up to see if my son was on (he was so we talked for a bit).  He's decided he is going to make a quick trip down here to see Tara (he loves her like a sister) even if she IS home by then.  He'll leave from work and stop at his brother's house in Nashville and then head down here to my house early on Saturday.  He must have called his brother right after we talked because then Marcus called me to find out about Tara.  I told Marcus that Tara was NOT dying, regardless of how his brother may have presented it to him but I would call him if that changed.  I knew that Marcus had to work whereas Mustachio has this weekend off.

Okay.  Time to get this posted and me back to bed.  I'm begging off a hint again but I promise you three tomorrow, how does that sound?  Love you all.  ***Hugs***
