A Truly Nasty Weather Day......

I think I would have preferred a nice thunderstorm to the kind of day we had.  The sky was a solid grey, there was a steady drizzle for hours and hours (it's still doing that and it's 1am) plus it was also incredibly foggy throughout most of the town.  We ARE in the mountains here so there are lots of high and low spots when you are driving any distance at all.  In a few areas, I couldn't see more than four or five feet ahead of me.  THAT was scary.

When I drive to Cee's house, I use a lot of back roads rather than the bigger highways.  It's faster even though I believe it's longer.  A stop sign is faster to get through than most of the stop lights on the main roads.

Cee and I had plans to do a little shopping today.  It doesn't look like the weather is going to be any better on Sunday than it was today but there is hope for Monday.  She only has one more gift to buy and I need boxes and/or bags so I can take care of the gifts I have here.  No, I need both.  I had to look at my list again to see what I decided to use for them all.  I also discovered that my tape is missing so the Beast must have *borrowed* it even though he doesn't remember doing that.  *Sigh*  I think he DID check his desk but I can't be sure since I didn't see it.

I got my plate and my baking pan back that she had since Thanksgiving.  I was shocked because that means I haven't been to her place since then until today.  That is an incredible amount of time.  She DID come over one day to our house after Thanksgiving but she had forgotten about the baking pan and plate (so had I...LOL).  That was when Baron was still alive and before we got Dennis.  I told her she needs to come over and see/meet him.

It was also supposed to be a day of 65 degrees but it never got over 58.  Tomorrow our high is supposed to be just 45!  I don't think we will be shopping.  There's hope for Monday, however.  We are supposed to have sunshine then so, even if the temperature isn't great, it will still be a better day to finish that up for us.

When I got home from Cee's, I was cold so I put on my warm jammies and got under the electric blanket to warm up.  You know what happened, right?  Yep, I fell asleep.  I told the Beast later that I was obviously slipping into my *hibernation* mode so wake me up when it's Spring!  LMAO......

Love you all.  I am already tired of winter, are you?  Stay warm.  Enjoy the Holidays.  I wish everyone good health and loads of love.  ***Hugs***
