Today was kind of a nice day. I really don't have a whole lot of them but today was one. We had a visit from the Princess, who wanted advice from the Beast on settings for her camera and she needed to borrow his flash for the pictures she was taking today that someone was going to use for their Christmas cards.
It looks gorgeous and fit for a family. The Beast went outside and got to inspect the inside. He said it was gorgeous. Then she told us about all the goodies included, which also meant she has a GMC app that she can lock, unlock and even start her car using her smart phone. It tells her how much fuel she has and approximately how many miles left on that tank, it can locate where she parked her car (she's always forgetting where she parked it) AND it even has Wi-Fi. She said the car is too damn smart.....LOL.
I was surprised to see that it even will tell her what her tire pressures are and what they should be. That's a very interesting app, don't you think?
She complained that I will go over to visit Cee but won't drive the extra five minutes to her house. Five minutes? It takes me about 15 minutes more. Maybe if I knew all the roads and shortcuts to get there like she does and at the speed she drives! But I guess I am going to have to make a plan to go over there more often. I miss seeing Chewlee and Gunner anyway so it's win-win for me to do that.
She got Dennis to *talk* to her but I think it's because she makes the sounds just like him! I had to watch to see when it was Dennis and when it was her. I kid you not. It was truly funny. He's gotten good about listening to certain commands and, when she told him to *sit*, he did. When the Beast asks him if he wants to go *out*, he goes to the door lickety-split. If he says *ride* in a sentence, he is also up on his paws and heading for the door.
He took him to the doggie park for a bit today. It helps to tire him out when he gets to play with other dogs and is good for his socialization, too. The Beast finally got to hear him bark when someone came to the door (the Princess) and even she said it was a nice, loud bark. He did it when I was here, alone, with him and Sheepie came to the house. He was a little surprised when I told him about it because he hadn't done it when he was here. But he was here this morning when the Princess came and got to hear it for himself. He doesn't sound like a puppy.
We did find out that he's not quite over his wanting to chew. We caught him with one of the Beast's shoes but he hadn't chewed it yet. We just knew that was what he wanted to do. It surprised me because we have chew toys and even pigs ears here for him. That will usually keep them from chewing things you don't want them to but he's a puppy still. He's only 8 months old now. He won't be fully grown up until he's about 2 years old. We keep a close eye on him.
I used the gift card from my bff, Carol, to buy Christmas gifts for Chewlee, Gunner and the Princess. I have a tough time figuring out what to get for Johnnycakes but I'll find something. I just don't have any money left on the gift card for him so I will have to be careful how much I spend on it. I'm not the Beast, after all. But I will get one of the gifts tomorrow, most of the rest on Tuesday and one thing I won't get until the 20th. That's if Amazon actually holds up their end of the deal.
Well, time to put this to bed. Love you all. ***Hugs***
