I Get Yelled At!

I really thought my bff, Carol, sent me the balsam candles to *last me through the Holidays*.  But she sent me an email today that said....*No!  No!  No!  It's the package that you will get on Saturday that should do that for you.*  Well, duh!  How was I to know that there was ANOTHER package coming my way???  This woman never ceases to amaze me with her little *surprises* that she sends me.  She says she wants the people she loves to get things that they love or want while she is alive to see/hear about it.

The older I get, the more I can appreciate what she means.  I just wish I could do the same.  Hell, I can't even indulge myself because the Beast spends so much money on stuff HE wants that it makes me crazy.  I feel like he is shortening our enjoyment of life every damn time he buys another of his gadgets that are already cluttering up our garage and the cottage.  It's incredible.  It's also scary that he spends money like we still have our business.  We made a lot of money then but at least what was spent was on things I could agree on.  We owned our homes outright and paid cash for our cars.  He seemed to be a lot more careful then.  Now HE spends money on anything he wants and gives ME a hard time on every dime *I* spend.  I kid you not.  Like I spent money on much these days.  I don't even own half of the clothes HE does nor do I spend the kind of money on them that he does.  He's totally self-centered.

Oh well.  I shall just have to wait and see what new surprise Carol has in store for me.  With her, you just never know.  LOL!

The dog has settled in nicely but the Beast can't get out of his recliner without Dennis climbing in and taking it over.  He does get down when told but reluctantly.  I can't really blame him.  It's very comfy.

He seems to also have settled into what the Beast says will be his regular routine of being taken outside in the morning and again in the afternoon.  He's been walking him,  on his leash and with his training collar on, down the block to the lot that Baron liked to *do his duty* and around our lot next door.   He had some diarrhea today  and we think it was the change in his diet so the Beast went and bought the dry dog food that he was used to eating for him.  The last thing we want is for him to have an upset tummy for something so minor as a change in his food.  Thank goodness, the woman that was fostering him told the Beast the name of the food he was used to eating.

I watched the two of them when it was the Beast's bedtime.  He just said, *Come on, Dennis, it's time for bed.*  The dog got up, stretched and headed for his kennel.  It was really cute.  No problems so far with him.

The Beast talked to our friend, Dennis, and introduced the dog to him.  He said, *Now, remember, I didn't name him* before he told him the dog's name.  Thankfully, he laughed.  Now we just have to see if, in the future, he thinks the Beast is calling HIM and not the dog.  LOL!

Well, time for my shower and bedtime.  This is later than I have been staying up lately but I'm not really too tired tonight.  Not that it's a good sign.  It may mean I will have a tough time going to sleep.  A nice hot shower may help.  I'll have to indulge in a longer one than usual and try to help that out a bit.

Love you all.  Be good.  Be kind.  It costs nothing.  And, remember that a hug is fully returnable.  ***Hugs***
