Have you ever had a day when you just didn't feel like doing anything at all? Well, almost anything. That was me yesterday. I DID do some laundry but that was pretty much it for me. It wasn't that I was depressed or anything like that. It was just that I didn't feel like doing a whole lot except enjoy the day and relax. This *thing* (football bandage) on my foot is making me crazy but I can live with it for a while. I lived with that valve in my chest for 8 weeks and I've only had this *thing* since Friday.
Today was an even better day. Our temperature went up to 59 (heat wave for winter) and the Beast even took Baron for a run on the motor scooter. The funny thing is that he was all dressed for church. Had to have given our neighbors a laugh to see him all dressed up and taking the dog for his run. LOL!
I worked on the guest room. I made the bed and straightened up the dresser. Found a few of Chewlee's toys and put them into her basket. I refrained from yelling at the Beast who always takes a pen with him to church and ends up putting them on the dresser when he comes home and undresses. I found four pens on the dresser. And he had the nerve to put another one there when he came home today. I just walked in, picked it up and put it in the drawer with the others. He just said, *Oops!* but I think he got my meaning. He makes a lot of mess that he can't blame on Chewlee. That includes the different hard candies he empties out of his pockets onto the dresser, too. We have a box of pens that is in the drawer in the kitchen. He's the one that put it there so he knows where they should be put. Sheesh!
I'm still having a problem with my leg because of the way this bandage on my foot makes me walk. My poor heel is going to have a callus on it when it's taken off on Friday. That is, unless the part of the dressing on the heel scrapes it off naturally. Who knows? I DO know that my heel hurts after just three days.
Talked to Tara today about our taxes since the Beast made some money on consulting fees. We have to pay social security on it since it's a 1099 (independent contractor) plus another 8%. It won't end up being much, thankfully, but with our car insurance coming due this month, it hurts since we live on our social security checks. It only goes so far.....
Tara is giving a baby shower for the Princess. It's the first time I've heard of her consulting with the mother about the theme. But she is hoping we will help out with the cost of it. I assured her that we could manage that as long as it wasn't THIS month. The shower will take place the last week of April more than likely on the weekend since Tara has customers she has to take care of during the week. She even told Tara what kind of things she wanted for the baby....mostly onesie's, which I think is great. We had those for the Princess when she was a baby. Easy to change a diaper in them. Since the baby isn't due until early June, the weather should be warm so they are appropriate wear for a baby. Since they know it's a boy, the color choices are easy. No pinks. LOL!
I'm beginning to think I have TMJ syndrome due to the pain in my jaw on the right side. I have no idea how to take care of it or even if it's possible with both upper and lower plates. I suppose it means I should replace these teeth. After 10 years, they are probably really worn down from what they should be. Trouble is, I want to get them from the same dentist that the Beast's brother got his. They make really inexpensive plates there and they are nice. It would mean spending a couple days at his brother's house and I'm not sure they are speaking. I may have to make the trip alone. I'll have to wait and see. I can't do anything until this toe heals.
The Beast started looking at zoos and petting zoos close to us. What he's thinking about is taking Chewlee to the zoo with us. Chewlee has wanted me to go to the zoo with her for a long time but I've had to put her off while I was healing from the surgery on my legs and then trying to get some stamina back. I'm still not sure how well I will do with all the walking required but all I can do is try. He found a petting zoo close to us that also has pony rides. I think Chewlee would absolutely love the hell out of that. When the weather gets warmer, we will make that trip. He wants to take her to the botanical gardens in Huntsville, too. There is also a kind of wildlife reserve that you drive thru in Huntsville, too. I have no idea why all this has suddenly hit the Beast but it's all to the good where it concerns Chewlee. I love to see her excited. She gets so cute!
Time to post this before I get complaints. Love you all. Have a fantastic week! ***Hugs***
