Yesterday we ended up with Chewlee for a few hours. The Princess was pretty sure she had a bladder infection so she went to the emergency room at the hospital. You know how that can go. Long waits and a lot of boredom while you are waiting to be taken care of. When you are pregnant, you can't let those go for any length of time.
Chewlee was herself, as usual. The day turned out to be amazing (up to 73 degrees) and was bright and sunny. Baron, of course, rolled in the dry grass and got up looking terrible with hundreds of pieces of the dried grass on his coat. Chewlee went and got his brush and we both tried brushing him off. He doesn't mind it most of the time but yesterday he was antsy. He really wanted to get out and run. Later on, when the Beast got on his scooter, run is what he did. He ran away from the Beast and into the wild growth areas on the perimeter of our neighborhood. He was very bad and didn't want to listen to the Beast until he got off his scooter and headed for Baron. Suddenly, Baron would respond to the commands. That didn't last long. As soon as the Beast got back on the scooter, off Baron would run again.
He did, finally, head for home when the Beast ran ahead of him without stopping. Baron headed for the garage where the Beast parks the scooter. He KNEW he had been bad and hung his head down when he came up to the Beast. But, poor Baron really needs to run a lot more than just around our circle one time. I told that to the Beast but he never listens to me.
Chewlee played with her dolls she keeps here. One of them is a mermaid with the thickest head of hair I've even seen on a Barbie style doll. She played with her hair until she was finally satisfied. Chewlee also borrowed my comb so her mother could cut her hair. CUT HER HAIR???? It's just getting to a nice length again. I hope she doesn't intend to cut it short. It wouldn't be our Chewlee. Chewlee has just gotten to the point where she brushes her hair....a lot! When she takes her bath here, I blow dry her hair for her. I use my big round brush and it makes her hair straight, which she loves. She wants hair like her mother, of course.
The Princess is really looking pregnant these days. She looks like she's carrying a large, round watermelon under her tops. I don't understand how these women can wear shirts that are tight on their bellies. It's like they want to show off just how big (or little) they are. I would never have worn some of the things I see on them these days. But then, I am from a totally different era.
The Beast is still suffering from his neck problems that started a few days back. All because of the way he worked on our generator. He forgets he's not a young man any more and he just doesn't bounce back like he use to. He will probably never learn...LOL.
Anyway, I sat outside a couple times but the main thing was that I never DID take a nap. So, when I finally got a chance to, around 8pm, I fell asleep for the night. I don't usually sleep that long in one shot but I did last night. Sorry about that. I was just too sleepy. Even when I got up to use the bathroom, I was so sleepy that I had to just go back to bed. I DID manage to stay awake long enough to put some ointment on the Beast's neck before HE went to bed. I knew I was probably going to sleep longer than usual but I didn't expect to sleep until 7am, that's for sure.
It's a nice day again today just not as warm. But I love the sun and clear blue skies. It's the prettiest blue! I saw some robins in our back yard so they must think winter is almost over. They are the first ones I've seen in ages. All I need to see now is some cardinals and I will KNOW that winter is finally gone!
Love you all. Be good. Stay safe. ***Hugs***
