Wow! What A Fantastic Day!

It was the kind of day today that is going to piss me off in a few days when we get more winter weather.  Today it was 68 degrees out.  I am NOT kidding you!  Warm and sunny out all day long.  The temperature didn't go below 58 during the night.  I had my window open all night long and it just didn't get cold due to very little wind.  Tomorrow our temperature is supposed to go up into the mid 70's...that's going to be short weather around here...at least for one day...LOL!

But the Beast worked on our big generator today to make sure it was ready for this  year's power outages.  The solar is good for a few hours but we need the big generator for anything that is going to last more than say....12 hours.  Like when we were hit with the tornadoes two years ago (or was it 3 now?  Hmm.) Anyway, he found out we need a new carb for it and he ended up running up to Lowe's to talk to the service manager directly.  He was so frustrated between the two websites and then trying to talk to the people at the other end of the 800 numbers for the two companies responsible for producing the generator.  At least the service manager was more knowledgeable at Lowe's and knew what was needed and where to get it.  He ordered it for the Beast and it should be here in 10-14 days.   I won't tell you what it's costing us but a new generator would cost around $1800. so the price is negligible in comparison.  At least it means the generator will be ready and working if and when we need it.

The Beast spent a couple hours on the generator before giving up on fixing the carb.  He was outside in just a t-shirt.  Baron was in 7th heaven just laying around on the driveway.  Me?  I just waited for the HH nurse to show up.  I don't know why it's necessary but I will mention it to the doctor when I see him on Friday.

I'm tired tonight and plan on getting to bed at a decent time.  The Beast has already gone to bed and I'm going to be following shortly.  I want to get back into a regular schedule of sleeping and waking.  I'm tired of feeling a bit like a vampire.

PS:  I almost forgot to tell you.  Bratfink is fine.  She is just feeling...well, antisocial.  She says she doesn't feel like talking...LOL!  Although I think she means she doesn't feel like talking to ME.  Oh well!   At least you know not to worry about her.
