I have no idea where the Beast was when the FedEx guy got here but he was nice enough to carry the box that arrived for me (I had to sign for it) into my computer room. Baron loves this guy and I was glad it was someone he knew.
I opened the box and to my surprise there were two container boxes of Bailey's along with two glasses inside. I managed to secrete the whole thing here in my room so the Beast can't start having fits over my *drinking*. He is such a hypocrite since he can no longer drink anything. There was no one in the world that drank as much as he did (and never managed to get caught by the cops driving home almost too drunk to walk). I would have three or four drinks and come home to cook. But he always referred to me as *the drunk*. Another form of his mental abuse of me. But because I drink at home, alone, I am an alcoholic now. How his mind works is beyond me. My sister and I used to have drinks together, online, just because it made us giggle that we were NOT drinking alone. LOL!
Anyway, the glasses are really adorable. I love them. I had a drink (yes, alone!) while he was gone and used one of the glasses. I just rinsed it out in the bathroom both before and after my drink. Tomorrow he will be gone for a couple hours and it will give me time to dispose of the big box they came in so he won't even know what I got from her. I love adding a little Bailey's to my coffee for the added flavor. It's not like I usually drink a lot of it at any one time. It's just a little treat to me. Thank you, Carol. I love your surprise.
She can be so funny at times and she comes up with some of the most unique things to send to me. She has such a generous and loving heart. I loved her even before she sent me anything and, if she never sends me another thing, I will still love her to death. I just wish I could reciprocate in some way.
Remember I told you about the influence that Dennis seems to have on the Beast? Well, here's another example of his not thinking for himself. Although we were planning on getting quotes from various insurance companies on our cars and the house when the time to renew came up, he went out today to talk to an insurance agent about it and do it early. When I asked him how he came to choose that particular agent, he said it was where Dennis got his insurance. Surprise, surprise! How did I not guess that? Anyway, although we are getting it early and will get a refund from our current agent, it IS saving us almost $500 a year.
The agent is coming tomorrow to take pictures of the house and the outbuildings (the little barn and the cottage). Also the cars from what he said. I guess they want to make sure they don't need any repairs. Lord knows, I am sure there are people somewhere that have figured out a way to take advantage of companies so it's something they must do to protect themselves from fraud. I just never had the nerve to think about doing stuff like that. But there was a funny thing that came up from the records they pulled. On the Princess' last accident, the total they reported it cost them was $3000 more than it actually was and the repair on the garage was $2000 more than it actually cost. Hmm! Now who is committing fraud? And who got the extra money? It had to be the adjuster that wrote the checks to us.
It's sort of warming up a bit here. Only going down to 17 degrees tonight and a high of 39 tomorrow. That's not bad because it's supposed to be sunny and calm (not much wind) so it won't feel too bad. I might even sit outside while Baron runs around the front yard (it's a special treat for him when I let him out front to pee).
Since my leg is doing better, I got a chance to do some straightening out here in my computer room. This is where I fold clothes and I had some that needed to be put away in my bin. I keep my underwear and pj's in the bin since I usually shower in the guest bathroom and come into the computer room to get ready for bed. It's just handier. Plus that way Baron doesn't have his nose in my butt like he does when I shower in the Master bath. He's in that room the minute either the Beast or I take a shower. It's his room, too. He doesn't mind being shut inside but he gets upset if you keep him out. He's very spoiled, did I mention that? LOL
Love you all. Hope you are surviving all this strange weather of ours. Keep warm and stay safe. ***Hugs***
