Homemade Soup Anyone?

While the Beast was gone this morning, I made my chicken soup with homemade noodles.  It turned out wonderful!  So tasty and the noodles, although I had cut them up fairly small, expanded to much bigger sizes.  ????  WTH???  Oh well.  It doesn't interfere with the taste.  You just have to cut some of them into smaller pieces with your spoon.  LOL!

I'm bringing Cee some tomorrow (enough for two or three servings) because I don't believe anyone but me will eat the soup after today.  The Beast ate some for lunch and then again for dinner.  But I will eat what I can and then there won't be much to throw out.  I wish Sheepie or the Princess had come by and I could have given them some, too.  Oh well....they missed out.

Our broody hen is getting used to being picked up off the eggs every day.  Today she was only on four eggs.  It was a light day with just seven eggs.  But I am glad I got to use some of them for my noodles and I don't have another dozen eggs to try to find room for in my fridge.  I really must go and give Diane some more tomorrow.  She used up a dozen already (and probably more) and she remembered to return the empty carton.

Cee brought over  the shells from the eggs she used when she was here the other day.  I was grateful because the hens really seem to like the ones I give them (I crush them up).  They need that extra calcium, I guess.  It also means the Beast doesn't have to buy extra to give them so it saves some money.  Lord knows it helps to offset (a little) some of the money the Beast is always spending on stupid stuff.  My wallet keeps yelling at me to get some money in it.  It got a bit spoiled when Cee and I went to Chicago.  I actually had cash in it!   What a treat that was!

Other than making the soup, I really didn't do much.  I don't have much in the way of laundry yet and I can't finish clearing up my computer room because I have to allow access for the Beast to do whatever it is he's doing to the solar batteries and their connections.  He keeps saying he's going to get that done but then he finds more reasons to NOT do it than you can imagine.  I'm going to tell him I am putting his tools in the garage if he doesn't get it done by the end of this weekend.  Maybe that will give him incentive.  All I can do is try.

Does anyone that reads this blog carry any life insurance?  If so, please comment and tell me how much you carry and what the premium is.  AARP is offering that insurance that doesn't require any health questions and the premium doesn't go up either.  I think it's reasonable ($39.95 a month for $10K) for my age and sex.  I would love to get it but I will probably have to wait for the Beast to die.  By then, who knows how old I will be and I am sure the premium will be much larger....LOL.

Time to shower and get ready for bed.  Love you all.  I wish you a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend.  ***Hugs***
