I Really Hope He Makes It.....

I was thinking about the Beast and how cheap he can be on things that are really important....like stopping in a motel to rest after 6 or more hours of driving.  It's part of what I always hated about traveling with him.  But, knowing that about him, and knowing that it's a 12 hour drive from here to Chicago, I am very concerned that he will push himself to get there and not stop.  That's how accidents happen with *older* folks.  All I can do is hope.  He might stop and nap for a bit at a rest stop but they are not as plentiful once he hits the Indiana/Illinois areas of the route there.  Guess I just have to hope he makes it okay.

I found out today that Chewlee's recital is on Saturday afternoon so I called Cee to let her know and gave her the time that the Princess said it was.  Now I have to hope she remembers to email me the address where it's being held in Guntersville.  I gather they are using a church there to hold the audience they expect.  Cee is coming here earlier and we will go together.  We plan a little surprise for Chewlee, too.  I mean, besides our being there.

The Beast forgot about putting the chickens away until I reminded him.  It was only 15 minutes after he usually did it but it was already darker than we expected it to be.  He grabbed a flashlight so he could count the chickens and gather the eggs.  The chickens had put themselves away for the night.Today there were just another 5 eggs.  That's all we are going to figure for a while.

Someone has obviously been saving egg cartons for us.  The Beast found a dozen of various colors on our porch.  Since the Yaris was gone, they didn't bother to knock or ring the bell even though the front door was open (but the storm door was locked).  Baron never barked so it was someone he knew but wasn't excited over....LOL.  I thought that was very nice of whomever it was.   I hope the Beast finds out who and thanks them for us.

That's about all the excitement we had for the day.  It's late so I am heading for bed.  Love you all.  Be good and be sure to tell those you love that you do.  ***Hugs***

That's about all
