Busy Day

I had a lot of laundry to get done today and really, really wanted to do two other things:  1)fry some chicken for dinner, and, 2) finish wrapping and packing up the gifts for the shower.  Sigh!  I got one done but not the other.  Oh well.  I suppose I can try to get it all done after I get home from the Wound Center tomorrow.  I did manage to find some shirt boxes today!  Hurrah!  Better that than nothing.

I also got another bag or two plus some matching paper for one oversized box that all the regular size rolls were not large enough to use.  I figured I would tackle that tomorrow anyway since it's not an easy thing to wrap.

My friends package was delivered today, finally.  The Beast got it and I was really upset with him that he didn't chew him out but he says it wasn't the same person.  I don't know whether or not to believe him since  it could actually have slipped his mind.  But at least it's here without me having to call anyone about delivering it on yet another day.

I had to open the box since it contained one more package to add to the others for the shower and found the cutest assortment of hand puppets and a package of finger puppets for Chewlee.  She is going to go nuts when she sees them.  They are adorable.

I made up my friend chicken and was hoping for it to turn out a bit crunchy so I decided to use panko bread crumbs instead of regular ones.  Oh boy!  Big mistake.  Yes, it turned out crunchy but it does NOT taste the same.  They are a bit too...dense, I guess you could say...to allow for the same taste.  It also could have used more than my usual salt and pepper addition because of that.  But I don't/didn't want that.  It's just not healthy.

The weather DID turn out great again and warmer.  It almost hit 70 today and should do that and more tomorrow.  I sincerely hope your weather is great tomorrow, too, and you have an absolutely breathtaking weekend!  Gonna get this posted now, take another allergy tablet and get ready for bed.  Love you all!  ***Hugs***
