Whenever we have a bad storm at night, I end up with loss of internet. Last night, it wasn't just rainy...there was plenty of thunder and lightning, too. When my TV started to break up into a trillion pixels, I turned on the weather channel. The storm was due to go on for a loooooong time. It did. I finally scrapped the blog I had started and figured I needed the sleep more than the blog with no internet.
While I had the weather channel on, I learned there were several tornadoes in a couple of the states just west of us. There was no news (at that time) about any damage or injuries or deaths that might have occurred but I was more concerned about the storm that was coming at US that might have spawned more tornadoes when it hit our state. I kept my window open so I could hear the sirens if they went off during the night. If the window is closed, you can't hear them, unfortunately. End result? No sirens and I woke up to a cold room. Not bitter cold...just shaking cold when you got up in it and before you put a robe on...LOL. I can take that until my heater gets a chance to warm up the area.
More rain expected today....or should I say more thunderstorms. Sigh! Figures since I need to go to the hospital to take my blood tests this afternoon. The best I can hope for is that the storm holds off until I get back home or it comes early and is over before I have to leave. I'm not going to hold my breath over either possibility, tho'.
I got the news last night that Mustachio is coming to visit us for a couple days tomorrow. He'll probably get here around dinner time. I have to change the sheets in the guest room for him today since I didn't after Chewlee slept overnight last time. If it's just her staying overnight, they can stay on for more than one day's time, don't you think?
Mustachio is leaving right after his physical therapy session and I don't envy him that drive when I know his wrist will probably be paining him. He'll stay until Thursday morning then leave to drive up to his brother's place in Tennessee before heading home. He MUST be at his physical therapy session or risk losing out on his compensation payments. Can't do that.
I have to remember to call Tara about coming over to see him or if I can bring him over to her house on Wednesday so he can see the remodeling that she had done since the house became hers officially. I have to remember to tell the Beast about his coming today after he wakes up a little later.
So you know the kind of weather WE are expecting. I hope your weather is better. Have a great Monday and be kind to each other. ***Hugs***
