If you haven't figured it out yet, my surgery ended up being more complicated than the doctor thought it would be. It turned into a 3 hour nightmare of ballooning my artery where it had narrowed and the insertion of a stent where there was some scar tissue. The doctor got a bit frustrated and almost went ahead and was going to do a bypass in that leg but something made him try this way instead. He also put me on Plavix which is a medication that helps prevent cells from congregating and making trouble. I kind of think of it like a cop that keeps the bad boys in the neighborhood from hanging out at the corner....LOL.
I ended up having to stay overnight since I had to stay flat on my back and with legs straight for six damn hours and you know how uncomfortable those hospital beds are if you have ever stayed in one. I could hardly wait to leave in the morning and I came home and crashed. I felt just awful. I had a headache, I was hungry but felt too nauseous to attempt eating anything and my back was killing me. I laid down in bed and couldn't get comfortable. I laid in my recliner and couldn't get comfortable in it, either....and that was unusual. I took some tylenol and finally got rid of the headache but the backache and leg ache were a package, it seems. My friend, Carol, finally convinced me that I should try a pain pill so I did. Guess what? It worked and I felt a whole lot better.
I'm going to have to try getting to sleep right away before this wears off. I am desperate for some comfortable rest. So forgive me for making this so short. Love you all. ****Hugs***
Glad to hear it. Love you! xox
