The very pregnant Princess, Chewlee and Johnnycakes stopped by the house today. Johnnycakes wanted to borrow the rototiller but the carb was plugged so he and the Beast worked on cleaning it up and replacing what it needed that was obvious. It came out looking good but the motor was still not getting gas. The problem was that the Beast thought it might be the needle valve but he had no clue where to even try to find one. The only hope was to find someone that worked on small engines. Johnnycakes thought he could deal with that so he took the unit home with him.
Chewlee got to open her packages from Carol. As soon as she saw the tights, she said, *Oh, she sent ballet stuff!* I asked her how she knew that and she pointed to the tights. She then tore into the other package and found the leotard and tutu. It's adorable and Chewlee said, sadly, *I can't try them on now, Grandma. I am all dirty from T-ball.* And she was so I told her that I would keep it here so that when she came over to spend the night next weekend, the Beast can take her picture for me to show Carol. Chewlee stroked the tutu and then went to show it to her mother. When she brought it back, she watched me to see me hang it up. I will iron the ribbons on it before she comes back so it looks really spiffy.
I am hoping to get her the ballet slippers before next weekend. I forgot to check with the Princess about her shoe size. But won't she be jazzed to have everything she needs for one of her ballet *performances* that she puts on for us! I even downloaded Swan Lake for her to dance to as well as the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. She is so cute when she performs. But I guess that's the way every grandma feels. Even great-grandma's....LOL!
I showed the Princess the necklace that Carol sent for Chewlee and she thought it was really pretty. I told her that I would give it to Chewlee at the shower and she just rolled her eyes. We talked about the *food* at the shower and it seems that it's only going to be sweet stuff. I may have to even bring my own coffee! I have to check with Tara on that point. Since the shower is going to be held from 2-4 officially, they just thought it didn't need food since it was after lunch and before dinner. Oh well! Showers have changed a lot from when I was young.
It was cold today when we woke up. The Beast immediately turned on the heat. We hadn't needed it for several days with the warmer weather we had. I was nice and warm under my covers so I hadn't noticed it got cold until I got up. I put on a sweater immediately and kept it on most of the day. I ventured out for a bit when Chewlee got on her bike to ride it around but she put it away when I went in the house and came in to watch her cartoons.
She ate more of the Beast's spaghetti...what was left of it anyway. The Princess pigged out on the meatballs. There were just a few left and now I think the Beast will give the rest of them to Baron tomorrow.
Our weather isn't supposed to improve for a few more days. Figures when I have to go out on Monday to get my blood tests at the hospital before I go in on Tuesday for my arteriogram. Oh well! C'est la vie! Love you all. Have a great Sunday. ***Hugs***
