I went out shopping (finally) to pick up what I need to wrap, box and ribbon the gifts that *I* bought for the Princess' baby shower as well as what my friend Carol bought for her. One of the major things I wanted was some gift boxes for some of the smaller, softer things involved. No such luck. I went to three out of four of the major stores that MIGHT offer them but discovered they only carry them...guess when? LOL! At Christmas, of course. I had hopes but in vain.
But I did buy different tissue patterns and colors, a bunch of wrapping paper, bags of various sizes and lots of pretty ribbons. Maybe I can't wrap things the way I wanted but I can make some pretty little packages to be unwrapped. At least they will be wrapped with lots of love.
It was just totally gorgeous out. I drove with the front windows down and just let the air blow in. My hair was a mess when I stopped but I didn't care. It felt wonderful! Even the Beast enjoyed taking Baron for his run around the circle. I've noticed he seems to be slimming down a bit. It will be nice if that keeps up. He should be trimmer than he is although he still looks uniform, if you know what I mean. And his coat is so shiny and healthy looking. It should be! I swear that dog eats better than we do! LOL!
Tomorrow is Wound Center day and I also have to go in to the hospital for my preadmission testing. I have to call there early because I am not sure exactly what time I am supposed to be there. I THINK it's at 12:30pm but I want to make sure. I will have to drive right there from the Wound Center to take care of all the BS and get my pretesting instructions. All this for an arteriogram. I've had a couple of them now so I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do but they insist on going over it all after they take a couple tubes of blood and give me an EKG. It's not like I am going under any anesthesia. Sheesh!
Then, on Tuesday, I will actually have the process done. I think it's kind of fun because I get to joke with the doctor and nurses. I have a feeling they think I am nuts but, hey! Why not joke around? That keeps the mood light and we all get a laugh or two out of it.
Lots of bad weather out there tonight. Not here....yet....but they say we should get a thunderstorm later tonight. Some of the storms around have been severe and even had a couple tornadoes out of it. **Shudder** Hope no one was hurt physically. Damage caused leaves it's own scars because we have been through a tornado that just destroyed everything the Beast and I owned at the time. That was awful enough but we were renters at the time. The more serious damages happened to our landlord at the time. It was just awful! And it was scary, too. I really feel badly for those people who are going through that tonight.
Love you all. Please stay safe. Watch your weather and listen if you are told to seek shelter. It may just save your life and the life of those you love. ****Hugs****
