Chewlee Comes To Visit!

The Princess, Johnnycakes and Chewlee came over after Johnnycakes got off work.  Chewlee rushed right into my computer room to give me a big hug and a kiss and tell me all about her day.  I gave her the box of puppets that Carol had sent for her and she went nuts over them!  They really are adorable.  Then she discovered the finger puppets and she discovered that they came with their own little *stage* front and she HAD to immediately make up a story and have a show for me.  It was just so cute.

Then she did a story with the hand puppets and I had to join her for that because she didn't have enough hands for the story....LOL!  She immediately named them all and she now has her own Peppa Pig cast (mostly!) except that Peppa's friends don't include a lion.  She found a bag for taking them home and promised me that she would bring some over for our next sleepover (which doesn't seem to be able to be for a couple weeks.  **Sigh**  I had been thinking about bringing her home with me after the baby shower but we have relatives coming in from out of town for it and they will be having a barbeque at the Princess' house so everyone can visit before they have to return home.

They all are coming down from different parts of Tennessee.   I know that Amy and family only have about a 2-1/2 hr. drive home but I think Brenda and family have about a four hour drive.  Brenda is a special needs teacher up there and can't stay over long because she must be at school on Monday.  Ralph is retired (lucky dog got to retire early from his job with the city they used to live in when they still lived in Florida).  I'm looking forward to seeing them since it's been ages and Amy is another of my granddaughters.  I will finally get to see something other than pictures of HER baby, too.  Another great-grand for me.  **Grin**

When the Princess has her little boy, that will give me a total of three great-grands.  Isn't that amazing?  And I am young for a great-grandparent, too....LOL!

The baby dropped on the Princess and she is supposed to be on complete bed rest but she says she doesn't do anything around the house right now so she isn't staying down all the time.  She's just not exerting herself.  She came in and smelled the wonderful pot roast the Beast had made today so she ate (of course!).  I was in my computer room, playing with Chewlee and keeping her occupied so I missed out on their company for the most part but I sure hope she fed Johnnycakes while she was at it.  Lord knows, there was enough.

It was kind of a yukky day today because it drizzled almost all day long.  It was gray and overcast and the temperature didn't get over 56 degrees.  The weatherman says warmer and sunny tomorrow (ha! ha!  We shall see about THAT!) but I really AM hoping he's right.  Not tomorrow but next Saturday is the shower for the new baby and I really, really am hoping for great weather, especially since afterward will be the barbeque for the out-of-town folks.

Love you all.  Have a super fantastic weekend.  ***Hugs***
