Getting The Beast Ready.....

The Beast was actually ironing a few wrinkles out of his dress shirts and I almost passed out watching him.  I had to show him how to position the arms because he was totally clueless.  But he wanted them to be perfect for his trip to Atlanta.  You would think that he was going on a job interview.

He looked over his hotel confirmation and discovered it was for one King size bed.  Needless to say, I had to call the hotel since he is sharing the room with his sister and not me.  The hotel said they were booked solid and couldn't do anything about changing it until he checked in.  Then it might only be possible for him to get a cot for the room, which he said would be fine with him.

He almost forgot about taking his pajama bottoms that he wears with a t-shirt when we have company.  His sister qualifies for that since I know he doesn't want to parade around in his undies...LOL!  We got the most important things packed up in his suitcase but his suit jackets and shirts will go on hangars.  His ditty bag with his toiletries and pills will go in last of all since he uses most of that every day.  We also had to pack his shoe horn with his spare pair of good shoes since I won't be there to help him get his shoes on.  He has a problem with his left shoe mostly.  That's the side that he had the stroke on and he still has stiffness in it.

I made us chicken (roasted), mashed potatoes and gravy along with some canned corn for dinner.  The chicken was a little overdone, unfortunately, since he didn't come home directly after his church meeting.  I had used a lemon herb rub on it so the skin was tasty but the meat was drier than it should have been.  Good thing I had gravy...LOL.

The Beast went to bed early because it was so hot today.  The heat destroys him and it was over 90 degrees today.  Plus it was humid.  The high humidity gets to me, too, and I enjoy the heat.  I don't have air conditioning coming into my computer room....just two fans to move the air around is all I need.  One is the overhead fan, the other is an exhaust fan in the window.  But it sure made me sleepy...LOL.  Until it started cooling down after dark, I didn't really feel awake.  I will still be able to sleep, however, since the Beast has the window unit running in our bedroom.  It's almost midnight here and it's still 75 degrees outside.  That feels good, tho'.

Love you all.  I hope you had a great weekend and an even better week.  ***Hugs***
