Today I had to wrap the gift the Beast had bought for the couple that is getting married. For some reason (I guess I wasn't listening well enough), I thought they were getting married today. But it was the wedding shower. Duh!
The gift paper I had (a new roll) wasn't really large enough to wrap the entire gift. I fudged it as much as I could and it was mostly covered...just a little bit on the bottom. I only had the one roll of that color so I had no real choice. But it looked just fine once the Beast got the bows for it. His card was hilarious and I'm sorry I didn't think to write down what it said but that was a hit at the shower and got passed around. It was so...*him*! Nothing mushy....but it was funny and cute.
He said the Ninja slow cooker/roaster/whatever was a huge hit. Once they learn how to use it, they will find they can use it more than any other appliance. He said they got a lot of nice towels, a really beautiful dinnerware set and silverware but he didn't notice any pots and pans. I was told they also got blankets and linens but the Beast didn't see them because he was talking to some of the men there. Men don't really seem to care about those things. They feel it's more a *woman* thing. Of course it is!
I can't stay online for long now. We are under a severe thunderstorm alert. If we have one, it's going to probably carry the worry about tornadoes due to the heat so I have the weather channel on for as long as the TV lasts. It sounds like the storm is approaching so I will post this while I can.
